Goseong has mountains on three sides. Hangnobong Peak to its west originates from Geumgangsan Mountain in the north, while Masanbong, Misiryeong and Ulsanbawi Rock of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range are located in the south.

Such primeval characteristics can be witnessed in Gojin-dong Valley, Hyangnobong Peak and Geonbongsan Mountain in Goseong. Jinburyeong Hill, Neungpadae Cliff, Seonangbawi Rock, and Unbongsan Mountain present a glimpse into the process of geological and topographic development on the east coast of Korea.
