*looks at absolute mess on his own desk with more screens* Hmm
Nice rig, Though I kind of find the Space Commander a bit gimicky. How is it useful? Also you didn't list software XD.
Heya! Software is Cinema4D R14 and Photoshop. The SpacePilot is indeed solely useful for sculpting in C4D. Rotation and navigation of the model with left hand, sculpting with the tablet and right hand
Impressive setup! I long for the day when I can upgrade to two monitors with that resolution. And good ol' Maya, I never get tired of it
I see its C4D now, my bad XD Looked like Maya at first glance after they changed its interface to the same color scheme.
hahah wonderful!! a bit excesive for a simple 3d phtp... this workd more in you are 3d movies
the alcoholic is about to come to the surface...but....I knew that was Guinness before I even read that it was XD on a side note, your set up is beautiful and very clean. I miss my duel monitors very much, I had a capacitor blow in one of them, and working off of just one doesn't feel the same....
That's AMAZING!!! What is that tiny screen down there? xD It's soo tiny!! And that blue light thing by the tablet... what's that? OH What's that?! Is it... COLA? :D Damn i like it, x3
The tiny screen is an iPad inside a case, and the blue light thing is a SpaceNavigator. It's kind of like a joystick, but for use with 3d design programs. When I model with inventor, you can easily inspect and place parts with one if you pretend you are holding the part while you grab the knob on top. They have 6 degrees of freedom, plus some buttons you can program. They also work with stuff like Google Earth.
Yay, 3DConnexion input device!
And nice S-IPS panels, I need to make the move to 1600p

We basically have the same setup.....
Except I use a custom built system.....
AMD FX 8150 8 Core Unlocked (out of box).......
GTX 560 Ti......
16GB RAM.........
One monitor.........
Intuos 5 Large......
and 3D Connexion Space Navigator......
But of course you can't live without Cinema 4D R14 :D

well at least your monitors match, my main one is a square LCD and my second one is an HDtv
Gosh, it looks so clean... Maybe that's the secret for ultimate creative happyness? Hrm... *starts digging up her pencils*
I love the background pic on your tablett. :D

Nice setup, when I stop traveling I plan on building myself a mega rig.
Yay! Windows 7!
nice computer.
Hmmm... I wonder... are you left-handed or right handed? Both?
Whatever, nice computer.
Take care of it!

Oh, I just noticed that. It is a pretty mind-blowing amount of memory for this day's technology and prices. But when working with 3D it's pretty necessary... depending on the polygon count of models, the resolution of the texture, and the resolution of the final render export. I have 9GB of RAM in my PC (yes it's an uneven number because I use triple-channel memory) and my renders in Blender can sometimes use more then 8 GB, meaning my system gets slow if I use it with barely any other memory consuming program running. So I wouldn't be surprised if he puts all that memory to use, though 32 GB does sound more than what any modeling application could use too.
in my case I put only 8 of ram for gaming, because most do not use drawings of 3D ... but not having won 8 of ram if my graphics card is crap, well see what I can do long plase , ah! Thanks for the explanation XD
Video cards with a lot of vram are expensive, but I think the standard is now moving to 2048 MB instead of 1024 like it's been for years. Not a lot of games use so much video memory, but this is again something that 3D rendering programs might be big into. In the case of Blender, it's optional to use the video card and GPU for rendering with Cycles engine, while Blender Render uses the CPU for that.
Pretty. I was sorta hoping you're using Blender like me, since that's my top favorite 3D app (and prolly the only one that works on Linux). Would have liked seeing renders like yours with it too :)
the funny thing is that all my pictures do not do them in the pc ... I make my N3DS with application to the R4 called "Colors DS" is quite practical ... no I have a drawing tablet, I have to improvise with that application XD
Interesting. Wouldn't have imagined a device such as the N3DS could help with making 3D art especially of this quality. Never had one myself tho, always been a PC person
