Beautiful pone, and I'm particularly taken with the light effects.
I didn't know the orientation was due to the ice crystals all lining up in the sky. I'm reminded of my favourite pair of optical phenomena: the glory, used as a representation of enlightenment, and its frightening id-redolant opposite the Brocken spectre. I'm guessing they're on Luna's staff.

I don't normally go for MLP stuff, but this is really lovely. Great pose and a lot of feeling in this.
