Will have to go back for some touch up work in a month, but I'm super happy with how this came out!
Again, thanks to Apoxon for letting me borrow her design, and to CardOtter (who owns the original) for granting me permission to get this done.
The tattoo was done by Bobby at BodyFX in Maryland, who I think did an amazing job!

It really is a great design and style in general. I definitely think you should consider putting a bunch of them together and selling the designs to Tattoo shops. The artist who did mine mentioned that there were only a few minor things he had to do, mostly in the spacing out of lines, to get the image into something that could be tattooed. You might work with one locally to decide on minimum sizing, etc, but he mentioned that there really are very few tribal shapes that actually make a cohesive design, and less of those as animals. He mentioned that one of the tattoo-shop page thingies would go easily for 100 or more. He also said to get them copyrighted first :P
Only thing you'd really have to do differently is give a linework version as well that could be scanned/copied. Idk, might be a good extra source of income :)
Super happy with it, I've gotten tons of compliments so far. I may bother you at some point and sleeve the whole arm, but I'm looking forward to being able to sleep on my sides again (and not waking up in the middle of the night to yell obscenities at my bf who has just grabbed it in his sleep).

i might have to try that, although i'll definitely have to work with someone in the know about this sort of thing.
an entire sleeve would be REALLY COOL!
i hope it feels better/heals up soon! :3

Thanks! I'm probably going to finish getting it touched up tomorrow. Super happy with it still.
Thanks! Tattoos actually don't hurt that much, especially on that part of the arm. Some areas sting a little more than others, but its really not bad. I spent a total of probably 6.5-7 hours in that chair from line work to filling to touch up, and they flew by. The only part of the process that sucked was the "itchy" phase of healing where you can't scratch it :P

i know the itchy part sucked when i got my tattoo done..you can pat it. it won't itch as much

Ok this is beyond amazing.
I've been thinking for months on getting a tribal otter, somehow in someway.
Faved!

Thanks! If you do get one, be sure to let me know, I'd love to see more of this kind of thing.
