Chapter 1: Lily Pad
by Fubido
"Yeah! Well screw you too, ya" bastard!" I roared, slamming down the pay phone back onto the shutter.
That was my brother on the other end. Yes, I know what you"re probably thinking--little family feud going on, huh? Wrong. This guy"s the toilet paper that scraped my ass beet red.
It was June 22nd and I had just arrived in Cinnamon City and thought I"d call him about the leftover funds I had in my bank back at our old place. Turns out those funds were bone dry, and I was shit out of luck if I thought I"d find a cab willing to let me ride for free in this place.
"Great.." I moaned.

I stepped off the curb of what looked like 1205 Joy Lane and sneered at some kid feline who made a funny face at me. That made me growl in my throat, but I kept on with the address "770 New Bark" in my mind.
That"s where my uncle was supposed to live. Supposedly my dad"s brother or something.
I never met him, but he was the one who got me here.
Peering closely at the sign posts nearby, I clutched my large suitcase and sighed, reluctant to continue forward and end up getting lost.
Luckily that"s when the coin tossed in my favor.
"Hey! You over there. Are you lost" a voice broke out in the crowd.
I turned quickly and pointed at myself while looking clueless.
" Kind of..." I smiled awkwardly, pulling out a piece of letter parchment from my pocket with the address on it.
"I"m looking for 770..New Bark."
"New Bark, huh?" the older man chirped back rather happily.
" You"re in luck. That"s where I live. Mind if I give you a ride? My car"s right over there" he pointed.
I gawked for a second before quickly taking him up on the offer, quickly following behind the tall wolf.
Minutes later my face was flashing with the rays of sunshine that hit across the windshield, looking at all the sites that this city had to offer when suddenly the man driving broke the silence.
"Are you traveling per chance?" the male asked, turning the wheel slightly to the left.
"Eh, geez. I"m sorry--didn"t even introduce myself. I"m Dr.Mats-I mean Ken Matsuoka." he added in quickly.
This guy wasn"t too bad.
"Ah, my name is Fubido. I was going to live with my uncle Genta Honda while I went to school here." I replied.
That caused Ken to glance at me for a second before bursting into a fit of chuckles.
"Why couldn"t I make it out earlier! You look like a smaller Genta in a way!" he raged with a smiled,
"Need I mention he"s our neighbor? Oh, that guy.."
That guy? Is there something I didn"t know?
"Hm..yeah. He"s my uncle." my tongue rolled out non-ecstatically.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
"That looks like my boy. We"re here!" the man announced.
My eyes lit up from my groggy tenure, peering outside the window as my blue hues met with amber ones for a split second, those eyes belonging to a male who happened to be watering the grass with his shirt off. I gulped.
Why did I gulp? It"s not like I saw a Ron Jeremy commercial or something..but still.
I said my good-byes to the man and thanked him before knocking on the door to 700 New Bark.
A woman peered outside the window beside my paw, and before I knew it I was assaulted with hugs and kisses.
"OH GIN-GIN! He"s HERE! Your little mini-me is here!" she shrieked. My ears drooped as my cheeks were still force-fed with her lipstick-matted mouth.
"That man.." she lamented briefly.
"He"s probably asleep." she giggled, darting a wink at me.
"Working man and all. So come in, come in! Let me get that suitcase for you."
So there I sat, in a wide blue futon that pressed up against an ivory colored counter.
The house didn"t look too bad at all. It smelled very minty with the occasional scent of tobacco in the air.
The wife sat across from me in her satin-dress as she pulled out a cigarette and lit it like a pro.
" So how"ve you been Gene? " she giggled.
" I"m alright, I guess." I murmured, mentally stabbing daggers into her for calling me by my father"s name.
" Well that"s good. I"m sure you"ll like it here. The kids are great, and I"m sure you"ll find everything you need here."
Suddenly my cheeks perked a rosy shade of red.
"Oopsy-daisy." she laughed loudly, pulling her dress away from her all-too attention grabbing nipple that grew to life.
"Let me see where Ginta"s at. Get comfortable kiddo." she smiled.
"You can call me Auntie by the way."
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
"So you find anything you like while getting here son?" Genta roared, smacking my shoulder hard.
"Ehh..." I groaned. "It was a lot to take in..I"m sure there"s something I"ll like."
"Oh definitely! Girls around this neighborhood for miles!" he grinned.
"Considering you look just like your good ol" uncle here, I"m sure the girlfriend issue isn"t even an issue for you, son."
I looked away for a moment before sipping down the bitter tea in front of me.
" Yeah..."
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
So I quickly found my chest poking against the hard bed frame as my boxers pushed evenly against the itchy sheets. My room was located upstairs and had a pretty interesting window for staring unusually at the house next to me.
I couldn"t help but notice the family on the other end.
I saw what looked like Ken walking to the restroom. A woman finishing up dishes, and a smaller boy throwing blocks at that guy I saw earlier.
Somewhere between there I drifted off, and it wasn"t until I woke up with a discreet "I"ll eat your brains.." that I pushed back into the wall next to me and gasped.
There stood the boy next to me that I saw when I got here, and he was nearly too close to my face for me to respond without making contact with him.
"Umm...w-why?"
"You mean who? I"m Rei." he playfully patted my head.
"Your peeping hole was kind of open, so I thought I"d meet you this way."
I continued to stare at him like an alien before shaking my head.
" Do you usually get in here like this? "
" No, not really. That old man here usually has this place set as a storage room, so I don"t bother, but.." he looked around.
"I noticed he added a bed, so I was kind of curious."
I sat up and scooted off to the edge of the bed before pretending to close my eyes.
Sooner or later the slightly taller wolf took the hint and made for the window.
"Well I"ll catch you around, okay? Okay!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
"I totally got that batty Fujitachikawa!" a female voice murmured half-excitedly, and half disappointed.
The girl next to her grinned and jumped up once. "I know! I have her too! Isn"t that exciting!?"
I adjusted the sleeve of my uniform and stared casually out the window of the school while waiting for the bell.
It wasn"t minutes before I felt a cold hand hit my cheek and I shuddered.
"What the fuck...Rei!?" I glowered.
"Well of course! You didn"t think I was a drop-out, did you?" he smirked, offering me another head pat before I pushed him away.
" Can you warn me before that paw touches me?" I huffed. "Seriously..."
"Oh come off the high horse, Fubi. It"s all in good fun." the wolf smiled, patting my shoulder instead before waving and running off to what looked like a coach.
"Hey Mr. Ichijoji!"
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
" I like karaoke, blue birds, and lily pads. " her voiced echoed across the room as she bowed.
"It"s a pleasure to meet you all, and I hope we have a great year."
A paw nudged the hem of my shirt before I canted my head to the side to listen.
"What"s her name? Mi-sho? Sounds like a know it all if you ask me.." Rei commented gently. I just shrugged.
It was at that moment that she turned and walked off, accidentally pushing my pen off my desk before bending down with her knees to pick it up.
"I"m sorry. Honda-kun. It"s nice to meet you" she smiled, offering my pen before sitting adjacent from me.
That was when I felt a piece of paper flick my neck, strategically landing on my desk.
It read "She bent for you already. Score!"

You have a very unique writing style, amico! Reading your story is almost like watching a TV show - it's very action oriented. You're also a natural at description; very nice visual elements in this story.
However, as some friendly advice, I'd say that you need to include a bit more explanation. Sometimes the reader feels a bit lost with all the sudden changes of scenery and many different characters. You don't have to tell us exactly what's going on, just help us along a little, know what I mean?
But all in all, it's very good, amico! <3
