Well I mentioned a familiar, not a totem animal. I have no idea what my totem animal would be
a familiar would be whatever you would choose it to be (or the mage owner chooses). Usually some level of small unassuming animal that can be used to spy on the normal world. Like cats, lizards, squirrels, birds, n stuff
Ooh, very nice ultraviolet/'blacklight' effect. :O And maybe I do want a familiar now! No idea what I'd want though.
For the basics, a familiar is a mundane animal given intelligence and magic properties by someone who practices magic arts. A part of the designs I make with them is often inscribing them with runes or leylines for a neat visual effect
My spirit animal is apparantly a badger but a familiar for Skuttles...
