DONE, omg so done, finally!
Chrysalis picks herself up at the edge of her homelands, after her boot from Canterlot.
I really enjoyed working on this one, I was mainly experimenting and pushing myself to do a full background, and I feel it’s my best work to date!
I plan more of these in the future. While I do have Rarity in my list for “soon”, I am a sucker for villains, so who would you prefer to see next, Discord or Nightmare moon?!

Finally done! And so much prettier to see on your own screen than the compressed blur of the stream ovo. So much detailing I don't even know what part I like the most. Amazing work, Dirti ovo ...

This is THE best Chrysalis artwork I have seen so far. Awesome work. The level of detail is very impressive. About your question, I vote for Discord!

Lol guess so, it just seems like they suddenly popped up out of nowhere. I'm pretty sure they've been around for a while, but it hasnt been till recently that I've seen them pretty much anywhere I look XD
pretty much been going on since two years now? two seasons.....ever since MLP was redesigned basically lol i guess just in that time its grown and grown

personally have been a fan/collector of MLP since the late 80's, it’s a thing I grew up with.
But I have never been a fan of the cartoon series until the recent FIM reboot (it has great character design, plot and character.) But it is definitely not for everyone, nor would I expect everyone to love it as I do!

This is really gorgeous! Probably the best Chrysalis illustration I've seen. :) Great work!
Absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed watching you pour hours upon hours of your life into this. You did an absolutely fantastic job. The beetle-like design you've given her really suits her design and while still very unique, it still remains faithful to the original design of the character. You said while streaming that backgrounds intimidate you. You have absolutely no reason to be intimidated by them, as you absolutely nailed this one. There's detail absolutely everywhere in the picture, but not too much that it distracts from the character. The addition of Canterlot in the background makes it even better, as it gives a really good impression of exile. If I had to critique something it'd be the tree textures. They do look good, and I like that they're all twisted, but they still seem a little bit smooth for bark. That really is just nitpicking though, as the picture as a whole is just fantastic. A really good representation of a really good character. Great job!
.. I need a 'fave this more' button, because this is so many levels of awesome!

Discord is a lot of fun for personality and flair. Nightmare Moon is far more aesthetically fun. Though, I think Nightmare Moon suffered from what all the villains do. The time slots. Two thirty minute slots where commercials apply when they could easily be 90 minute movies. Especially Discord's line. Nightmare Moon's also suffered from the need to introduce everyone...
Just think today if Nightmare Moon had some return perhaps in a dream sequence or past flash back now? Full time, no intros needed, and they're far more willing to use songs. How much fun that would be!
Course... Discord's voice actor can sing pretty good to.....

This looks bloody fantastic, the precise detailing is just amazing. The background is just breathtaking. And my vote would have to be Nightmare Moon.
