Cute! Regarding the bright yellowness blending in... it might actually camouflage surprisingly well! Since most animals see in greyscale, you would blend in with the reddish-yellow sand/soil and light-colored brush in the area. To a human it might be a little obvious, but against most species I think you'd do all right. ^^

I spent the day going through my vacation photos to Phoenix and the surrounding area, and while there are a lot of pics of mountains, scrub, and cactus, none of them has a cute subject like you in the picture
