SOOOOOooooo ..... this was ACTUALLY supposed to be a plush I wanted to make a LOOONNNGGG time ago ... but me mom never sat down and showed me how to use her dang-gone sewing machine >.<" Now I"ve finally gotten a chance to and I made this LONG due plush, Espeon : 3
Now granted since this is my second time making a plush ever, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO SELL IT !!!! I have worked so dang hard on it and I"d rather hold something dear like this since there"s HARDLY any official stuff around anymore >.<" (Plus there are SO MANY flaws I wouldn"t want to sell it as a custom anyway ... )
however ... if you REALLY want something like this, once I get better at it I will start offering custom plush commissions, I"m seriously going to make this an investment at some point >w<" Also ... this would be technically my second, but the first one was of my umbreonsona, Midnight ... and ... well ... umm ... wasn"t exactly my best piece in mind XDDD;
Now the details ... this plush sits at a foot from the bottom of the paw to the base of the head, (not including the ears) and its tail is just a couple of feet in length so add that to the actual body. Its main body is made of light purple fleece and the red jewel, black ears and black and white eyes were of scrap material (various kinds) found around the house. (only cause I wanted to stay on budget for the moment so I had to do alternatives)
Now I know I SHOULD use good material to make customs XDDD; Oh! I also put wire support in the front legs and tail so those are totally functional and posable ! Also another note ...only the jewel and the eyes were hand-stitched the MAJORITY of the plush was hand-stitched cause my mother"s machine couldn"t handle the pressure of the fabric plus the thickness of it from the fluff inside ...
That being said ... here"s what I learned today:
- Plan my pattern ahead ... it takes so much to adjust with size and shape ... and especially consider the fact that even though you adjusted it to work the way you wanted it to, it didn"t come out exact (i.e. the bottom of a plush between the legs and the way the legs work ... and more importantly, the mid-section .>." )
- Always take it slow ... rushing it jacks up the machine and it doesn"t look good if it gets stuck, plus it will add to the overall crappy job of the plush
I think that"s all for now ... enjoy!
