Scary!

Mmmm, I don't really see that in the thumbnail, but yeah, I guess I should work on posing more to make it more clear...

Here's a tip from what I learned in class, a clear pose comes with a good silhouette. (Its not a must to follow, but its worth noting!)
Imagine if you black out the entire character here, if you can't quite make out what's going on, its worth adjusting a lil bit.
However in this case, to me there is totally nothing wrong. Maybe its the colors that's causing people to see that its 'blended in' with his chest. (Tho personally, once again the color difference is pretty strong.)

As a solution for this, next time try crazier colors (Or just colors that make objects stand out). :P me and z00p love things out of the ordinary, so the chainsaw need not be orange..could be black with stripes and thorns, and spikes all over! xD

Take a seat back when you're finished flat coloring a pic for a good look. If anything's sorta blending into each other, its worth a lil adjustment.
Still, I've said it once and I'll say it again - I love how you are improving really quickly. Much faster than most folks I know!

Ah, yes the silhouette trick! :D We learned that in animation class! Very vital part of learning how to do some good posing!
I don't really see the chainsaw being blended into his chest much, I mean, if you squint your eyes, you can see it's very dark compared to the color of his chest. But yeah, then again, it would have helped to probably make it another darker color.

Yeah, I'm also surprised at the direction my art has taken. I mean, even I cannot believe how fast I improved. One day I decided to experiment with shading techniques for a pic, and... yeah, it just changed everything. ^^
