This reminds me of a LONG ago bit that was on Cartoon Network called "Josiey and the Pussycats; Musical Evolution"
In which one of their themes as they rolled through from their start (of the late 50's and such during the time when scooby-doo was a hot cartoon on TV ) as them playing a simple gig... then into disco... then into Punk Rock... then into Country..

.. and then into (my *personal favorite*) of them doing their * all girl version* of KISS

See, this just proves my theory that everything evolves into something perfectly suited for its environment, then goes a little too far, turns to crap, and dies off.

Hence why after Kiss it goes techno and then craps out.

I like to think of it as what it can be as *potental* but otherwise stays where it needs to be for those that wish to enjoy it..

that way everybody wins and those that want it to be a certain way, can still delight in it..
