OH wow...the woodgrain adds beautifully to how this piece looks! It's awesome to see the carving flowing with the grain and looking so clean and beautiful. These masks are so awesomely unique!
I enjoy making masks. They are made from half logs of western cedar which has pinkish "waves" in the grain.
This is definitely my favorite. Such a great use of wood, the form is top notch and the way wood grain flows is just absolute brilliance <3
