Many years ago, after spending many years in the sea, Parker washed up on the shore and just gave up on life. He lost his connection to magic and his body digested him from the inside. He became brittle and began to crack and break apart.
After a while, he finally decided to get up and stop rotting on the beach. As Agents do, he manifested the limbs he needed. He staggered inland looking for someone who'd been kind to him while he had been lying on shore, dying, falling apart, and attracting carrion fairies.

now i just have to ask why arent some of the fae sticking together like a fairy king or is that only regular fairies
That only happens to common fairies, the fairies in the picture are mostly carrion fairies and odd-wing fairies.
ahhh ok and i take it among fae carrion and odd wings are mostly predatory
Odd-wing fairies are predators, while carrion fairies are primarily scavengers - but they are attracted to the smell of magical decay and not actually smart enough to care if what they are trying to eat is actually dead or not.
this is lovely, what an awesome character! The detail in this is beautiful.
Watching this happen was -so cool-.
I'm glad you streamed it, and I'm very pleased to have been there. Although it looks a lot better without Livestream artifacts!

*gets a broom to show away the fae and then gets some duct tape!* "now stand still..."
wow that is VERY well done. i really like the story that goes with it too, great work.
Just as I thought - his artwork is hypnotising! And yours too^^
Absolutely Magnificent! I'm honestly moved and inspired by this piece of work, and I love your technique with the insides.
hanks for the text you included as well. Nice to have names for put with pictures. €o=

That's really sweet. Took a look at the description to better understand what was going on, kuz at first it is mildly disturbing. After reading it it tells a bitter sweet tale. Though I admit i find the fairies no less disturbing <.< Never liked fairies. I digress. Wonderful work ^ ^
This has been one of my favorite image on FA since I first saw it. I once had this concept for a lanky dog creature made of rusting metal who was oxidizing from the inside-out, but I could never get it onto paper the way I saw it in my head.
You have such a talent for creating these beautifully-alien creatures... please never stop. :D

It's scary in a way. we could all end up like this one day.
the horrifying part is that he actually had to stab the wood into his flesh to get his limbs a-moving.

This is just gorgeous, in a grim, frightening kinda' way. Excellent work!
Its not really frightening, so much as its very sad... Part of me can relate to this, as one of my dearest main characters (and part of myself) is in a similar state. I decided to give him a proper farewell write-off, at least. Very nicely drawn. I love the detail and the overall look of this piece.
Wow, I wonder what he looked like before this? Your character design is just too cool!
