My Entry for a APH contest going on in one of the groups I'm in ~
back to my other drawings I need to get done now.

Original Deviantart Description:

The theme was cultural foods, I was originally going to choose Italy, but then I decided to go for Germany instead.
I'm actually pleased with how this turned out to some extent, when I first drew the sketch it looked crap as hell to me. I still need improvement x3.

I didn't fit as may dishes in here as I would have liked but here are the dishes I drew in order from left to right:

- Bratwürste - Typical German sausage, usually made with either Veal, Pork or Beef.

- Roggenmischbrot - Rye-wheat bread roll.

- Spargel with Potatoes & Hollandaise sauce - White asparagus with boiled potatoes and herbs. It is drizzled with Hollandaise sauce, a sauce made from egg-yolk, butter & lemon juice.

- A side basket of German Pretzels

- Eintopf - A traditonal German stew consisting of vegetables, potatoes, Sauerkraut and sliced sausage, seasoned with herbs.

- Kartoffelsuppe (The dish germany is holding on the tray) - Potato soup with Wiener Würstchen and seasoning.

and for drinks, they have beer. ~

In the background are America, England and France spying on what's happening in there. I wish I drew Japan a little better though :/ I don't quite like how he turned out but it doesn't bother me too much. Same for the food, its been a while since I drew detailed food, I guess it doesn't look so bad. Enjoy!

Interesting German foods were hard to research. I think I spent around 8-9 hours on this drawing added together.

Edit: make a slight tweek to Japan and added a little border around the edges.
