So is there something to restain a rider's tail? The silhouette's tail looks long enought that it could get too close to an intake.
awesome, but i ride my jet skiis ALOT. a smooth underbody, er, hull will NOT work at the speeds speculated at. no control. ridges may help, . ..
An underwater transport similar to this was built and tested in the 90's. Video of the trials were aired on one of those modern science programmes. Divers layed in the device, much as you illustrate, then latch a clear cover over the top to assist in streamlining. Batteries powered Jetski pumpjets which exited in the ventral peduncle area. Peduncle flap for vertical control, swiveling pectoral fins for lateral control at the hands. The device was successful, though not as speedy as hoped. Images of it rapid surfacing were shown, though it did not breech the surface. Improvements before bringing to market were promised, for speed, battery life and enhanced manoeuverability.
Hmm...shades of Seaquest, this and the Summer 2007 one.
A fan by any chance?

Have you thought about coming back to this design and improving it? Like the inlets for the water jet will actually cause the water to come in turbulent. Also the intakes for the turbines should be on the back and in a place where they can’t ingest water from the boat itself.
