I have tooons of stories about my grandfather's shepard and what he got up to and did, god that dog seemed amazing XD
I seemed to have missed the earlier versions so now most seems fixed, I like it and the only real critique I can give is that the collar seems a bit high up on the neck of the dog.
Dog collars aren't suppose to sit tightly because it will be uncomfortable for the dog and while it shouldn't be too tight it shouldn't be too lose either, so it sits in a kind of inbetween state if properly secured. Because of this the collar is usually located furthest down on the neck, where neck meets shoulders pretty much.

But giving critique on the collar is such a small ordeal, the picture really is amazing and whatever issue people had before, it's all certainly fixed now :)

I didn't even think about that when I was drawing XD
I drew the sketch without a reference which included the collar so that's probably where the discrepancy came in. I did looks at pictures of GSDs while coloring to get the right colors in his fur but none of those dogs were wearing collars. /Ohwell

As I said, it's just a small mistake and I don't think most would even note it. It is a very beautiful picture after all. I like the eyes the best, they really speak of that pure joy only dogs can have. :3

Wow, this is excellent. You capture a lot of emotion, and even some cheekiness int here. Gorgeous use of the colours. If I can pinpoint one thing, it's that the right ear seems a different size than the other. Correct me if I'm seeing things.
It's possible that it is. It doesn't looks so to my eye but you never know. Animals are like people in that they're features are not ever perfectly symmetrical so if the right ear is a little bigger I don't think it's a big deal.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the collar but I couldn't really figure out what to do with it. It's just simple red leather by definition it would never look as detailed as the dog just cause they're is a LOT less going on. I tried to shade it but it still looks a bit toony. Oh well. I originally didn't think the collar was that big of a deal cause the dog's expression is WAY toony so I didn't think it would matter, HOWEVER hahah apparently ALOT of people were bothered by it...../ohwell not sure how to fix it and the image is resolved so...

well you're seeing it after I fixed it. It was neon red before with black outlines.
Love this! Reminds me of my GSD somewhat. She's gotten the grey tipped muzzle over the last few years, and the face markings are pretty similar. Very nicely done!
