Most of the time they do. They get up around 9:30-10:00 then stay active until around 11ish. Plus the day was a summer day so they retreated into their siesta.
The Brookfield Zoo wolves have the biggest enclosure as they are trying to keep them as wild as possible to actually release them into the wild while still keeping a natural instinct. It's very rare for them to come up close for humans to take pictures. There are 6-9 wolves in the zoo.
