I love winter as long as I get some snow. I like the cold temps, the atmosphere oressure when itβs snowing, the quality of the light. Some of my friends think Iβm a freak but I much prefer it to summer.

I've been there in July. There was snow and hoarfrost on the pines and it was quite bitter.
The lake surface itself is around 6,200 ft (1,880 m) elevation. The surrounding rim ranges from 7β8,000 ft (2,100β2,400 m). It takes a while for all the snow to melt. The reference pictures were taken in late October, shortly after the first snowfall that year that stuck.
