gen 3 is the one i've never touched before now. i just kinda stopped playing pokemon after GSC. but giving this a play, i'm sad i didn't get to it as a kid. i'm sure it would've blown my dang mind. its quite the expansion and even has something of a proper story, even if it handles it all a little awkwardly. got quite the soundtrack too
