Though now I get a mix of Bloodborne's eldritch evil and Resident Evil 7' stranded tanker vibes from this.

I have played re7 though not bloodborne, but hopefully the vibe is just about right

Its actually funny that you built this world, but didn't play Bloodborne. Reason being is that said game is themed around Gothic Eldritch Horror. I remember you saying at some point in Long Hike that the world you built involves eldritch gods and the like, same deal with Bloodborne. The difference is that in the game, you can learn they're secrets and become powerful enough (in both body and mind) to legitimately kill said gods.

Bloodborne weaves a tale that shows any species can evolve and ascend beyond what they are, that nothing is truly impossible to accomplish and even gods can bleed. Makes you wonder how a being like the Lord of Reeds would react in such a situation, huh? 🤔
