The dragon hummed as she looked over one of her old map books, sitting in her massive library. She had been craving something rather specific as of late, a delectable type of food that, as far as she was aware, hadn't been served in over two hundred years. Giving a sigh, she shut the book and set it aside, grumbling about how good things never lasted. Pushing herself up, she walked over to another bookshelf and started looking over the covers of various cookbooks and saved recipes she had saved over the years to see if she could find and make what she was hoping to eat. A certain mew floated in as she pulled out one of her books from the time period and place she was thinking of, opening it up and flipping through the pages. Curious, he floated over and landed on her shoulder, watching as she looked through the book. Though he was unable to read any of it due to it being in an old language, not dead yet but also not quite the same as it was back then. Occasionally she stopped at a page to read it over before shaking her head and continuing on, giving her mew a few pets when he landed before resuming what she was doing. Eventually, she snapped the book shut with a sigh and slotted it, humming as she considered what else to do. Magi piped up a moment later, asking what she was doing, to which she explained she was craving something that hadn't been made in a couple hundred years. After a bit more back and forth, mostly the mew questioning more about the food and place it came from, Z decided it wouldn't hurt to go back to where she knew it had been made to see if it was still being made or not. As she turned for the exit, he was suddenly sucked off his current perch and into her cleavage, then farther into where his room resided. Chuckling at his surprised 'mew!' she headed out of the cave and into the forest clearing, going up the mountain to her landing pad. Stretching her wings, she couched and took off, quickly gaining altitude before heading there.
About an hour later the dragon dove down and landed on a dirt path a short ways outside of a nearby village that had long since been abandoned and left to rot, the cause seeming to be some kind of raid from an outside force. Giving a stretch, she started walking towards it, looking over the old fields and run-down huts and houses with a slight frown. For the most part however, she ignored what she passed by as she headed to a specific place that seemed to be one of the few that had managed to remain in some semblance upright, though it did have a few holes in the roof and a wall was missing. Moving to the large opening on the side of the building, she leaned over and looked inside, eyes scanning over the rotting furniture and molding food of what use to be a tavern. Reaching into her cleavage, she fished around for a moment before pulling out her mew, giving him a few pets before asking him to go inside behind the counter where a hatch door should be, which led to a basement. Nodding, he floated into the place and to the half-collapsed bar, where a few bottles of wine and spirits had somehow managed not to be broken over the years. Using his psychic, he pulled them from their places and sent them back to Z to take before focusing on the floor, moving a few pieces of rubble aside to reveal the hatch in the floor. He flicked a paw, the door opening with a loud groan before the hinges failed and caused him to tear the door off entirely. Wincing, he gave a sorry to the dragon who waved it off, telling him it was fine and to keep going. Setting the hatch aside he floated into the dark room and looked around before using Flash, lighting up the space...which was completely full of spiders and all sorts of other creepy crawlies that enjoyed the musty and damp basement. Aside from all that, it was in rather good condition forgoing the water damage and mold, though what looked to be a sealed black box was in the corner, which he used psychic on to pull out of the room.
Leaving the building, Magi gave the black box to Z before floating back onto her shoulder. She looked over the box, brushing off the gunk and insects that were still on it before tapping the lock on the front, a click being heard before the top popped open. Opening the crate, they found it to be filled with various papers and a few trinkets and valuable items. Carefully removing the pages, knowing how fragile they were due to being so old, she looked them over, skimming along each one to get the gist of what the contents were before moving onto the next. The mew stayed silent as she did, and eventually she placed the pages back into the box and closed it, tapping the lock again where another click was heard, sealing it shut once more. Before he could open his mouth to ask what was inside, he was suddenly being sucked into her cleavage again, ending up securely in his room as she turned and walked out of the village to the road she had landed on when she arrived. Spreading her wings and taking off, she headed back to her cave, answering the questions her mew had for her along the way.
