🤔 should check my.petty cash drawer. Parts for grampa's truck might have to wait a week....
Grampa died 30 years ago when I was too young to ever remember him. His truck and some of his memorabilia from his time as a World war Two B24 tail gunner are about all I have to remember him by. He died when I was so young I don't even know what his first name was.
But he bought a damn good truck from Courtesy Chevrolet 53 years ago!

Yer damn right! straight six, 3 on the Tree manual trans, no gadgets to speak of, no power assists...simple, rugged, reliable, serviceable. I love it to death and I dont forsee ever having to replace it as long as I keep up on the maintenance 👌!
.......it needs a lot of that, though. Thing has more nipples under it than an anthro only strip club each of which wants greased every PM, the points need regular attention to last a good long time, regular tuneups are a thing with it, shift/clutch linkages need regular lubing and adjustment, wiper arms need regular lubing...it isnt a low maintenance vehicle by any stretch, but that is part of how it lasts so long. 🤷 And the maintenance isnt costly or difficult. Its mostly just clean, adjust, lubricate X78.

As an aside it kinda makes me think it'd be a cute art piece for Theo to be curled up on the air cleaner while one of my fluffs is tinkering with the ignition system. Every outside cat I've ever had over the years would do that. Referred to them as the shop foreman when they did so haha
Just make sure he doesn't fall asleep under the hood where the engine is! That happened to one of my friend's cats! :o
Ye I bang on my hood when I leave the house in the morning. Have a semi-stray on my property that has been confirmed to use the rear fenders as a napping spot so I don't need it getting tangled in the belts when I start it at 5am to go to work.
