The White-Eye Chud and Indrik
a commission for a VK user!
Featuring a rendition of White-Eye Chud - couldn't find any english sources, but it's a fictional forest-dwelling people similar to fae, who went underground after humans tried to baptise them. The word "Chud" (pronounced "Choode", like in "achoo") itself is related to words "Chudo" meaning wonder, and "Chudovische" meaning monster.
The commissioner wanted them to be shrew-like, with white fur around the eyes.
And a design of the Indrik-Beast that's used by the Chud to create tunnels underground using its fiery magic.

but i'll translate this one for you! Basically it says:
left part:
White-Eye Chud
An underground magic-wielding people. They used to live alongside humans, but chose to isolate themselves when the spreading of christianity and fear of "the undead" became a threat to their peaceful coexistence. Now the Chud clans/tribes live in a network of underground cavves and tunnels, using sorcery to maintain their society.
right part:
Indriks are domesticated beasts of Chud, very significant in their culture. They can melt tunnels through stone and spend most of their lives underground. The Chud make their dwellings in those tunnels. and use the beasts in variety of ways, riding them, making armor from their scales, etc.
middle top:
Body of an Indrik can heat up to extreme temepratures, but is usually pleasntly warm, like an oven.
middle low:
Only weapons anointed with juice of the Raskovnik herb can pierce Indrik's skin.
