Design doodle commission for kinzhal of his character's (I think) as yet unnamed space craft.
Was a good bit of fun stretching my vehicle design muscles again :3

The star based silhouette really works for this.
I can't fully tell but are the wings retractable?

Neat.
Love the delta shape and duel quad thruster arrangement.

Awesome looking. Is that a swing wing or 4 wings? If the latter, I'm curious what the aerodynamics are like.
I can see an issue with CoL vs CoG but I am digging the baby-B1 aesthetic, it definitely has a rock solid near-future sci-fi vibe to it. :)
Honestly I was considering you on a list of artists to do some aircraft illustrations for a project of mine, is that something you normally open for?

If we're pointing out issues with it in terms of physics, there isn't any pitch control when the wings are in the forward swept position either.
The design is nice though.

I love the swept wing design like an F-14 Tomcat or B-1 Lancer shape. The engine pods are also similar to a Concord or Lancer as well. Very cool! Love the longer-shaped craft.
Very cool; I love spacecraft with wings!
Guessing the picture on the left is to indicate swinging wings, not that the plane has four wings?

Cool design! Love the scifi B2 vibes with the swept wings
Incredibly cool design! Love the cockpit and thruster arrays.
I'm still really pleased with this - I came up with the concept & provided some artistic direction, but it was iPoke who translated my vague thoughts into such a good-looking artwork. I still find myself gazing lovingly at it from time to time! It's a sleek spaceplane akin to Star Wars' iconic light freighters, capable of whisking 4-6 people across the stars in reasonable comfort with a decent cargo capacity to boot.
Since a few people have asked, this spacecraft is meant to have variable geometry wings, even if the idea of a quad-wing has its appeal (& I might just steal the idea for a future design!). I'm well aware of variable geometry's shortcomings (perhaps maintenance costs are partly why Zhuro, my jackal treasure hunter, lives such a hardscrabble existence?), but I've always loved swing-wings.
Plus I'm a huge fan of spaceplanes, logic be damned - and a buttery soft sci-fi/space opera setting forgives a multitude of sins, too.
iPoke, you're an absolute joy to work with and I'd love to get another com from you in future!
P.S.: I did eventually figure out a model name for this starship - the PA-22X Maestrale, produced by a company called Polaris Aerospace. Sadly I've never been any good at names, so I'm still unsure what to call my jackal's very own one, besides perhaps Zephyr - but I'm always open to suggestions!
