Chapter 2: The Tempest Team Cyclone

Soria (Narrator): “My name is Soria, and I can’t wait to set off into a new adventure.”

Soria (Narrator): “But as I battled my friend and rival, Torben, or I called him Tor, the light came from the sky and crashed down at Ten Carat Hill: Farthest Hollow. And it seems like it’s kind of a new Pokémon I’ve never seen in my books.”

Soria (Narrator): “After I took it to the Pokémon Center, it revealed itself as an Airborne Pokémon named Inflight, and she has the ability to inflate herself, and of course me, like balloons to travel in the sky.”

Soria (Narrator): “My first flight as a mini-blimp was scary at first, but then it feels so exciting and wonderful at the same time. Next morning, Inflight told me that I can’t keep this whole thing a secret forever, so she wants me to show her and her ability for my family.”

Soria (Narrator): “Well, here goes.”

And so, the next morning, inside her house, Soria shows her parents and little sister about a new Pokémon she befriends with, Inflight.

“Mom, Dad, Kalea. Allow me to introduce my new friend I met yesterday - Inflight.” Soria said while carrying Inflight in her arms.

“Hey, everybody.” Inflight said through her telepathy.

“Inflight?” Scarlett asked.

“I’ve never seen this Pokémon like this before.” Andrew said, amazed.

“Aw, omigosh! It’s so cute!” Kalea squeals.

“It? Well, I am a girl, for your information.” Inflight confirmed as Kalea cuddles her cheek with her own cheek.

“Squishy, squishy cheeks~!” Kalea squeals. “So squishy~!”

“Hey, it tickles!” Inflight laughed.

“She can talk?” Scarlett asked.

“Kind of, but she speaks through telepathy. And she can talk in complete English.” Andrew said, amazed.

“Incredible.” Scarlett said.

“I wonder what Inflight’s type is.” Andrew said as he picked up his Rotom Pokédex and scanned it.

“Data unknown-roto! Data unknown-roto!” Rotom Pokédex said.

“Unbelievable…! So this Pokémon is very, very rare.” Andrew said.

“Well, as you know, I am both Fairy and Flying Type.” Inflight replied as Soria, Scarlett, Andrew and Kalea gasped in surprise.

“Wow, no wonder why you’re the Airborne Pokémon and using Misty Explosion.” Soria said.

“Oh, I’m sorry, Soria. I didn’t tell you about my type yesterday.” Inflight said.

“Hey, don’t worry. At least we know what type you are, Inflight. What attacks do you have?” Kalea asked, excited.

“Easy, Kalea.” Soria scolded slightly.

“Well, I think Soria will observe when I am going to battle.” Inflight replied.

“Okay. So… What ability do you have?” Kalea asked.

“Oh, I am glad that you asked. You’ll see when this happened. Shall we demonstrate one of your abilities to them, Inflight?” Soria asked.

“With pleasure.” Inflight said as Soria put her on the table.

And then Inflight closes her eyes, and focuses on her powers as her gem on her forehead glows, and shares the energy into Soria.

“Uh, what’s Inflight doing?” Scarlett asked.

“No idea.” Andrew replied as Kalea and Sphinx looked confused at Soria who glows cyan around her body.

And then Soria’s body swells up into a full sphere instantly, appropriately with the sound effect of a balloon filled with air, with her limbs a bit puffed, and then she lifted off the floor.

Unlike the last time, Soria doesn't freak out, except she enjoys it while inflating and floats again. As for her parents, Kalea and Sphinx were surprised to see Soria swell up like a big balloon.

“Wha-?!” Kalea gasped.

“Soria! What? How did--?” Scarlett asked.

“--you become like this?” Andrews added.

“This is Inflight’s ability, Expanasation. When she activates that ability, Inflight focuses on the power which makes me and herself inflate like a balloon with her free will, and there’s no limit to stay inflated, and we can deflate back to my normal size. And thanks to that, I can fly in the skies!” Soria explained, then squeals happily while wagging her arms and legs.

It was a quiet moment, until Kalea makes a stifled laugh while covering her mouth, and then she’s laughing while falling on the floor.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA! You looked like an overinflated Jigglypuff!” Kalea laughed.

“I think she thinks you’re funny, Soria.” Inflight said.

“Yeah, I can see that.” Soria laughed sheepishly.

Some minutes later, Kalea playfully bounced Soria through the air while Sphinx playfully chased Inflight while Scarlett and Andrew sat on the couch and were happy for their daughter.

“Well, this new Pokémon definitely has some unusual powers, Scarlett.” Andrew said.

“Hehehe, yeah. I guess our daughter got her wish to fly after all.” Scarlett said.

Then they saw Inflight puffed up like a balloon and hovered in the air while Sphinx tried to reach her, but it didn’t. Then Scarlett and Andrew laughed together.

“Such fascinating Pokémon.” Andrew said as Inflight floats closer to Soria, and cuddles her cheek.

Then Soria descends to the floor as Scarlett gets up and hugs her ballooned daughter.

“I’m so happy that your wish came true, Soria.” Scarlett said.

“Thanks, mom.” Soria said as Kalea approaches her big sister and gently pokes her ballooned belly.

“Hey, big sis! Can I be a balloon too, please?” Kalea asked while showing her puppy eyes and clasping her hands.

“Hmm, sure thing.” Soria replied, she turned her head at Inflight. “What do you think, Inflight?”

Inflight nodded, and she focused on her ability while her forehead’s gem glows and Soria deflates instantly.

And then Kalea’s body expanded into a full sphere instantly, appropriately with the sound effect of a balloon filled with air, with her limbs a bit puffed, and then she lifted off the floor.

“Wow, wow! This feels great!” Kalea laughed while floating towards the ceiling. “Come on, Inflight! Let’s play!”

“Yeah, let’s!” Inflight said as she floated towards Kalea and played with her.

“Well, while we enjoyed watching Inflight’s fascinating powers, may I ask where did you meet this Pokémon, Soria?” Scarlett asked as Soria stood up and sat on the coach.

“Okay. And there’s something you need to know why Inflight is here on Alola.” Soria said while showing her neutral expression.

Inflight doesn't mind letting Soria explain the details of how she came to Alola and met Soria while playing with Kalea.

“Well, while Torben and I were battling at the beach at the southernmost part of Melemele Island, we saw a bright light from the sky, and it fell towards Ten Carat Hill: Farthest Hollow. When we got there, we saw a new kind of Pokémon we’ve never seen before. It’s hurt, so we’re taking it to the Pokémon Center.” Soria explained.

“That was very thoughtful, Soria.” Andrew said.

“Well, anyway, after it, or she woke up, she introduced herself as Inflight, and I asked what happened up there. She said that she was attacked by sky people.” Soria explained.

“The sky people? What do they look like?” Scarlett asked.

“Well, I don’t know. But all I know is that Inflight said that they wear some armor, and they have a symbol which looks like a spiral.” Soria replied, then Scarlett and Andrew gasped.

“The sky people?” Andrew and Scarlett asked, then looked at each other with concerned expressions.

“Does that mean anything to you?” Soria asked.

“Well, I've heard rumors lately about strange airships showing up in some regions.” Andrew explained. “There have been rumors regarding the disappearance of certain Legendary Pokémon, particularly ones of the Flying type.”

Soria gasped slightly while her eyes went wide in shock, as Andrew and Scarlett looked up at ballooned Kalea and Inflight kept flying slowly around the room.

“Soria... I would suggest being careful with whom you show that new Pokémon of yours. I don't want you to become caught up in anything bad.” Scarlett said.

“No need to worry, mom. With my Pokémon I’ve caught here on Alola, and with Tropius and Swanna, we’ll be ready to take down whoever they are.” Soria assured.

Seeing her daughter’s determination and smile, Scarlett was relieved that Soria is ready for anything, and she’s an adult that she can take on anything.

“Yeah, you’re right.” Scarlett said.

“And I promise I will be careful with Inflight.” Soria said.

“That’s good to hear, Soria. You’re really fully mature and thoughtful just like your mom when she was your age.” Andrew said.

“Thanks, dad.” Soria said. “I think I need to ask Torben to help us. He needs to know. He got some strong Pokémon like Turtonator and Lycanroc, Dusk Form.”

“Yeah, it would be best for that, but just talk to him only inside, not outside, okay?” Scarlett said.

“That’s the idea.” Soria nodded.

“And one more thing, please watch yourself out there, okay?” Scarlett asked.

“I will.” Soria nodded.

“So, shall we look for Mister Torben now?” Inflight asked as she approached Soria.

“Yes, Torben. Let’s go look for him. But first, deflate Kalea back to normal.” Soria said.

“Aw, I am just getting started to have so much fun, Soria~!” Kalea pouted.

“Oh, don’t worry, we’ll be back as soon as we ask Torben to join me in rescuing the Flying Type, including the Legendary Pokémon.” Soria said.

“Oh, fine.” Kalea mumbled.

Inflight focused on her ability while her forehead’s gem glows and Kalea deflates instantly, sits on the floor, crosses her arms and pouts.

A bit later, Soria was walking out in the streets of Hau'oli City to search for Torben. As for Inflight, she stays inside Soria’s backpack.

“Hey, Soria. Are you sure Torben lives in this big city?” Inflight asked.

“Yes, I’m pretty sure of it. Ben has lived here since I’ve met him since I was 5 years old. We were childhood friends, and we loved Pokémon so much that one day we became the greatest Pokémon Trainers.” Soria said.

“Cool! Do you think he can travel the world and visit other regions? If we were able to fly into other regions when we inflate ourselves like balloons, we would be able to meet a lot of Flying-type Pokémon.” Inflight said.

“Yeah, I think that’s a ticket, Inflight. Boy I love when you think that way.” Soria said.

“No! Get away from my Pikipek!” A boy shouted, and Soria saw two shady persons who threatened a boy with his mother, who owns her Butterfree.

The two shady persons have some flight suit uniforms with a logo on their chests. Soria’s eyes widen in shock, and she remembers what Inflight saw; the sky people who wear some armor, and they have a symbol which looks like a spiral.

Then she hides behind the corner of the building and peeks at them.

“Soria.” A male voice behind Soria who heard his familiar voice and turned around a person she’s looking for.

It’s Torben.

“Torben.” Soria whispered, happily.

“I’ve been looking all over for you since yesterday. What’s going on here?” Torben whispered.

“You need to see this. I think those are the “sky people” Inflight mentioned yesterday.” Soria whispered as they both looked at the shady persons.

“Huh… They look like pilots. But… Wait, are they going to steal the Pikipek from the boy?” Torben asked.

“Yeah, it looks that way. I think those guys are thieves. Ben, I’m glad that you came in just in time. Would you like to help me to battle those guys?” Soria asked.

“Ah, teamwork, eh? Sounds good. Okay, let’s go!” Torben said as Soria nodded.

As for the shady thieves, the first grunt asked the boy one last time.

“Come on, kid, fork over the Pikipek and be done with it.” The male grunt said.

“Yup, the boss needs all kinds of flying type Pokémon for their plan. Even the little ones.” The female grunt said.

“I said no! And I mean it!” A boy shouted as he kept holding his Pikipek from a red-haired woman.

“Well, that’s the last warning. Well, Max?” The male grunt s he picked up his Great Ball, then he tosses the Poké Ball and releases the Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon.

“SPEAAAAAAAAR!!” Spearow squeaks.

“Spearow, grab Pikipek!” the male grunt commanded as Spearow nodded.

As the Tiny Bird Pokémon hovers closer to the boy and his Pikipek, suddenly a Lycanroc pounces at Spearow to the ground.

“A Lycanroc?!” The female grunt questioned in shock as she turned her head and saw Soria and Torben ran into them.

“Back away from the boy!” Soria shouted.

“If you don’t, then accept our challenge!” Torben shouted.

“The Pokémon Trainers? What are they doing here?” The female grunt questioned angrily.

“Well, even if they are trainers getting in our way, they will pay the price!” The male grunt said as Lycanroc ran back to his trainer.

“If you want trouble, you got one!” The male grunt shouted as the female grunt threw the Poké Ball and released the Murkrow, the Darkness Pokémon.

“Let’s battle! I choose you, Fletchling!” Soria shouted as she tosses the Poké ball and releases the Tiny Robin Pokémon, Fletchling.

“Fleeetchling!” Fletchling cries his name.

“Both of you, get inside!” Torben shouted at the boy and his mother.

“Okay.” The boy said.

“Thank you so much, young man. And be careful.” The boy’s mother said as they quickly went inside their house.

“Soria, you get the Spearow, and I’ll handle that Murkrow.” Torben said.

“You got it!” Soria nodded.

“So the girl has a Fletchling, huh? I think this shall please the boss.” The female grunt said.

“You betcha. That girl shall figure it out if she's messing with us.” The male grunt said.

“Fletchling, use Quick Attack!” Soria commands.

♫Pokémon Origins - Trainer Battle♫

As Fletchling obeyed her orders, the male Tiny Robin Pokémon’s body becomes outlined in a light blue aura, and he charges at Spearow with incredible speed.

Fletchling hits Spearow who cries in agony.

“Direct hit!” Soria cries victoriously.

“Spearow, use Aerial Ace!” The male grunt shouted as Spearow flies at Fletchling and back-flips in the air, then dives at its opponent, with its body becoming surrounded by white streaks of energy.

“Use Quick Attack to get out of the way, Fletchling!!” Soria shouted as the Tiny Robin Pokémon body glows and dodges Spearow’s attack with that speed.

“Murkrow, use Night Shade!” The female grunt commands as Murkrow fires two black beams outlined in dark red from its eyes at the Fletchling and hits him.

“Fletchling!” Soria cries worriedly.

“Lycanroc, Rock Tomb!” Torben commands.

Lycanroc becomes outlined in white energy and raises his head and howls. Multiple gray rocks outlined in white energy then form around its head in the shape of a ring.

Then, the rocks fall down on Murkrow and hit it, which makes the Darkness Pokémon fall on the ground. Afterward, Fletchling recovers in the air.

“Are you okay, Fletchling?” Soria asked as Fletchling turned around, nodded and chirped that he’s okay. “Thank goodness.”

“Spearow, use Peck attack!” The male grunt commands as Spearow charges towards Fletchling.

“Quick, Fletchling, dodge it and use Ember attack!” Soria commands as Fletchling flies up to dodge Spearow’s attack.

Then Fletchling releases one ball of fire from his beak at Spearow who got hit by the Ember attack.

“Come on, Murkrow! Stop Fletchling down with your Wing Attack!” The female grunt commands as Murkrow’s wings glow white and white energy shines off them and the Pokémon charges towards Fletchling.

“Not this time! Lycanroc, Accelerock!” Torben commands.

Lycanroc surrounds itself in a white aura and then slams itself into Murkrow at a high speed. Upon contact, small rocks sometimes burst out of the point of impact.

After the impact, Murkrow fell towards the ground.

“Enough of this! Time to finish this!” The male grunt shouted angrily.

“Time to use the Double Aerial Ace maneuver!” The female grunt shouted as both Spearow and Murkrow back-flips in the air, then dives at Fletchling and Dusk Form Lycanroc.

“Shall we?” Torben asked.

“Yes! Teamwork attack!” Soria nodded, and then shouted. “Fletchling!”

“Lycanroc!” Torben shouted as both Pokémon were ready to attack.

“QUICK ATTACK!” Soria and Torben shouted as both Fletchling and Lycanroc’s bodies became outlined in a light blue aura, and both Pokémon charges at Spearow and Murkrow, which were damaged and fell to the ground, fainted.

“Double K.O! We’ve been blown away!” The male grunt declared in shock.

“How the heck could this happen?!” The female grunt whines.

“Good work, Lycanroc! You’re doing a good job.” Torben cheered as Lycanroc barked happily.

“So are you, Fletchling. You’re doing good for your first battle.” Soria said as she patted gently on Fletchling’s head.

“Fletchling!” Fletching squeaks before his body started to glow in blue light.

“Huh?” Soria asked, amazed. “What happened?”

“Fletchling... is evolving?” Torben asked.

While glowing in blue light, Fletchling's body shape started to change and grow a little bigger. And after the blue light fades, it reveals his second evolved form - Fletchinder.

“FLEEETCHINDER!!” Fletchinder cries while spreading his wings.

“Yay!” Soria exclaimed happily. “Fletchling evolved into a Fletchinder!”

“Alright! Fletchinder is a dual-type Fire/Flying Pokémon! Way to go!” Torben said.

Soria nodded, before she turned at two grunts and said. “As for you two, whoever you are. If you think you can steal another Flying Pokémon from any trainer, then we’ll stop you.”

“Well now, that was certainly quite the display.” A voice said.

Soria and Torben turned as an unfamiliar voice called out from behind them, and they turned around.

A young man with dark greenish blue hair was calmly walking towards them. On his clothes was the same symbol as the Pokémon thieves they had just fought.

“I’ll always enjoy a good flying battle. It’s a shame you had to just go and throw a Rock type into the mix. The result was quite one-sided.” A man said.

“Who are you?” Soria asked cautiously, the man's smug smile made her nervous.

“You can call me Tatsuya. And those two,” he pointed at the thieves still standing behind them, “...actually they aren't even worth mentioning.”

“What do you want from us, creep?” Torben asked.

“What do I want? That is, in fact, a pretty fascinating tale.” Tatsuya flicked his hair back and chuckled.

“I was requested by my superiors to locate a person of interest in the Alola region in response to a rather implausible rumor that surfaced yesterday.” He said as he crossed his arms and looked at Soria judging.

“It is believed that a girl with blue hair was seen flying through the skies of this tropical paradise with an unidentified Pokémon.” Seth said.

Soria made an effort to hide her anxiety. She now realized that her journey with Inflight had been a big mistake.

“However, there is a peculiar aspect, the one that completely dislodged me from this entire journey. It seems that the girl in question was not riding this Pokémon. Instead, she was inflated as a balloon.” Tatsuya grinned and laughed to himself and Torben gave Soria a very confused stare.

“I understand what you must be thinking, yes? That's completely ridiculous, and honestly, I agree. I had to check anyway to keep the boss happy.” Tatsuya said.

“Well, I cannot say that we have seen anything like that around here.” Soria said hurriedly.

"I have heard of a Pokémon being ballooned, but what about a human being? That is beyond my comprehension.” Torben added.

“Sure. As I said, it is only a rumor.” That was when Tatsuya spotted something that caught his attention. The hair clip that Soria wore, shaped like the Flying-type Z symbol.

“...Nevertheless, meeting a Flying-type specialist with blue hair is now pretty interesting.” Tatsuya said as Soria gasped.

“What’s that supposed to mean?!” Soria questioned angrily.

“Oh, quite the temper.” Tatsuya smiled unfazed. ”Bit of an overreaction honestly to such a simple observation. That is unless of course, you had something to hide.”

“Hey! Get away from my friend!” Torben called out angrily as Lycanroc growled at him.

“Oh, chill out, Rocky, I'm only playing.” Tatsuya waved to the two grunts, and they walked over to his side.

“Well, I guess I should be continuing my mission, be sure to let my guys know if you find anything, hehehe.” Tatsuya said.

As Soria watched him go suddenly Tatsuya glanced back at her over his shoulder and said. “Oh yeah, tell the Pokémon that’s inside your backpack that I said hello.”

Soria’s eyes widen in surprise for a few seconds, then narrow her eyebrows in anger as she watches Tatsuya and two grunts leave the city.

A bit later, at Tor’s house, and in the bedroom, Soria looked at the floor, distraught.

“How could this happen? How does that man, Tatsuya, know that it’s me?” Soria asked. “I thought Inflight and I were alone. Up… in the sky.”

“Okay, okay, I am confused. Soria… You were inflated like a balloon? How?” Tor asked.

Hearing his voice made Soria look up and look at Tor with her embarrassed expression.

“Well, Tor… There’s something I need to show you.” Soria said as she opened her backpack and Inflight came out of her bag.

“Mmm, gosh, what a nap.” Inflight said.

“Inflight, we’re at Tor’s house. We need to show him your power.” Soria said.

“Alright. Here we go again.” Inflight says as she closes her eyes, and focuses on her powers as her gem on her forehead glows, and shares the energy into Soria.

And then Soria’s body swells up into a full sphere instantly, appropriately with the sound effect of a balloon filled with air, with her limbs a bit puffed, and then she lifted off the floor.

As Soria floats slowly towards the ceiling, Tor becomes super surprised while hanging his jaw down and gasping slightly.

“S-S-S-Soria?! Y-You…!” Torben gasped while blushing before he fainted on the floor.

“Oops…! I guess I really surprised him a lot.” Soria said while giggling.

“You sure did, Soria.” Inflight said.

After a while, Torben slowly wakes up, and gets up on the floor, and he’s still blushing while stammering, amazed, “S-S-Soria…! You’re huge! And you’re round and floaty…!”

“I know, right? Isn’t that cool?” Soria asked as Inflight focused herself with her ability and puffed up like a balloon and hovered in the air.

“Wow! So Inflight did this to you? I thought she could do this to herself.” Torben asked, amazed.

“True. But since Soria wished to fly with the Flying Pokémon, I gave her my powers to fill her up with magical air and make her body expand like a balloon, and has the ability to fly in the sky.” Inflight explained.

“That’s right! And with that ability, we’re flying around the Alola region!” Soria said, excitedly.

Then the realization hits Torben; he remembers what Tatsuya said about the rumors about the girl with a Pokémon flying around the islands, and thinks. “So that’s what Tatsuya said before. It was Soria and Inflight who were flying around the whole region. Those thieves must have seen them yesterday.”

“Now that makes every sense…” Tor whispered, worriedly.

“Now that I can fly when I am inflated like a balloon, I am ready to travel to see the whole world!” Soria said as she got excited.

“Yeah, and I am so happy when Soria is happy.” Inflight said.

“This is not the time to express enthusiasm, you two!” Tor scolded angrily at her, as Soria became surprised, and a bit scared. And so is Inflight who carefully hugged her.

“It was a reckless idea for you two to fly around the Alola region. Soria, how could you not be more cautious since those people are coming after Inflight?” Tor asked angrily.

Soria’s eyes widened in shock, then she felt guilty while she became sad; she knows Tor may sometimes flatter her, but she has never seen her that serious before.

Inflight pats Soria’s bloated shoulder to comfort her.

”I… I’m sorry, Tor…” Soria apologizes, as Tor calms down for a while.

”Although… Since being able to fly has always been your dream, I really can't blame you. And I understand how exciting that must have been for you.” Tor said, understandable while smiling at her.

Soria was relieved that Tor understood her and her dream, and gave him a smile.

”Tor… Thank you.” Soria said as she descended to the floor, and gave Torben a gentle hug around his back.

“You’re welcome, Soria.” Torben said as he blushes a lot, but hugs her inflated body back, but carefully since Soria was bloated. And while he feels Soria’s ballooned torso, it feels so soft like a pillow.

“Aw, you two are so cute together.” Inflight coos.

“Oh, stop it, Inflight.” Soria scolded slightly while blushing.

“Yeah, just cut that out.” Tor said, and then he let go of Soria while watching her float in front of him before he asked. “Also… I’m curious about that Tatsuya guy.”

“Tatsuya? Who’s that?” Inflight asked.

“Inflight, you have to listen carefully. Tatsuya is one of the Pokémon robbers that you referred to as the “sky people”. And they’re having a symbol which looks like a spiral.” Soria said.

“You mean you saw them?!” Inflight gasped.

“Yeah. But rest assured Tor and I already beat them in the Pokémon Battle. However… A man named Tatsuya appeared behind us, and said that he heard the rumors about… you and me were flying in the sky as balloons.” Soria explained.

Inflight gasped terrified; she made a mistake back when she used her powers to inflate Soria and herself yesterday.

So she rapidly deflates while hovers to the bed after focusing on her gem on her forehead, and after that Soria rapidly deflates while hovering in the air, and then she falls to the floor on her rump.

“Ow! Geez… What was that for, Inflight?” Soria questioned angrily then she softened her expression when she saw Inflight sat down and looked guilty on the bed.

“Soria… I’m sorry for getting you involved in this. I know that you’re excited about flying in the sky and befriending the Flying Pokémon, and using my powers to inflate you like a balloon, I've forgotten that I still was chased by those sky people. I should have done that only indoors… Please forgive me.” Inflight apologized as she covered her face with her paws.

Soria really understands Inflight, feels guilty and apologizes. She felt the same way after Torben scolded her about doing a reckless thing like flying around the Alola region.

And then, Soria rubs Inflight’s head gently while the Airborne Pokémon looks sadly up at her.

“Soria?” Inflight asked.

“Inflight… I understand how you feel. I was saying the same thing too. But I still kept my promise that I will save your friends, and once we take down the sky people, we can finally fly around the world with no worries.” Soria said.

Overjoyed, Inflight hugged Soria and rubbed her cheek with her cheek. “Thank you.”

“But there’s something I was wondering; who are these people, and what do they want?” Tor asked. “They appear to be obsessed with capturing Flying Types, but what are they actually trying to use them for?”

“I don’t know, but I saw their logo had the letter ‘C’ on it.” Soria pointed out. “It looked a little like a spiral. I'm curious if they are an organization or a team.”

“Maybe like Team Rocket, Team Star or Team Galactic.” Tor wondered. “Whatever they are, I've got a feeling that it’s not the last time we saw them.”

“But when they come back, then let’s give ‘em our power of teamwork.” Soria said determinedly.

“Good idea.” Torben nodded.

Inflight looked at them, and started to think. “If those humans are willing to battle them, then maybe… Maybe I can battle too.”

♫Pokémon Anime BGM - A Creeping Threat (1997-1998-M24)♫

A bit later, in the alley of Hau'oli City, Tatsuya walks slowly while he gets some company; a couple of Alolan Grimer who were about to attack him.

Unbeknownst to them, Tatsuya is not threatened by the Sludge Pokémon. In fact if he thinks it is if they picked a fight with him, then they got one.

“Sorry, sludge heads, but I don’t have time to waste on you.” Tatsuya said as he picked up his Great Ball which contains a Dragon-type Pokémon.

Two Alolan Grimers senses a powerful presence from the Great Ball, and run off in fear.

Back to Tatsuya who grins and looks at his Great Ball. “Heh… They’re still scared of you, eh, big guy?”

“Hey, hot stuff. Trying to scare the Alolan Grimers, eh?” A female voice behind him, and there’s a young red-haired woman with yellow feather shaped-color on her hair comb who grins at Seth.

“Yes, Ember. Those weak Pokémon can smell fear in the air or from my partner.” Tatsuya said.

“Fear? Ha! All I smell is respect.” A muscular man, besides Tatsuya, said. He has purple hair, which is the same color as Corviknight.

“Yeah, so true, Rogan. Did you find more evidence about the ballooned girl with the Pokémon?” Tatsuya asked.

“Ah, yes. We obtained footage from the necklace camera that Fearow was carrying. We got two interesting pictures, and enhanced the quality so we can see them clearly.” Ember said as she showed the two pictures to Tatsuya.

The greenish blue haired man grins that he already knows that blue-haired girl was inflated with the Pokémon who were flying above the islands of Alola region.

“I knew it. Looks like this girl is with this Pokémon we were chasing after.” Tatsuya said.

“The Airborne Pokémon, Inflight, right?” Ember asked.

“That’s right. Now all we have to do is to keep our eyes on the girl with Inflight.” Tatsuya barked.

“So, you’re interested in her, huh?” Rogan asked.

“Because her battle skills are interesting. But neither her nor that boy is no match against our Pokémon.” Tatsuya said as he picked up his Great Ball. “After all… It seems that girl has the Flyinium Z-like hairpin, and I’ve got a feeling that she likes Flying Pokémon.”

“Understood, Tatsu. I think our boss is interested in the girl too.” Ember said.

“Hmm… Maybe.” Tatsuya hums.

“Alright, we’re going to talk now, or we're going to spy on that girl?” Rogan asked.

“Then it’s time for investigation, and stay low.” Tatsuya said.

Meanwhile, Soria and Torben went outside and took a stroll in Hau'oli City. Inflight was hanging on Soria’s left shoulder.

“Hey, Soria, maybe we shall eat somewhere in this city. I want to eat a plate of stacked pancakes.” Inflight said.

“Me too. Hey, Torben, do you want to eat too?” Soria asked.

“Yeah, good idea. Our last Double Battle makes me hungry.” Torben said. “Come on! Let's stop by a café for lunch!”

“Yeah!” Soria squeals happily.

“HELP!” A distressed voice called from outside the city.

“What was that?” Soria asked.

“It sounds like someone in distress!” Inflight replied.

“Let’s go check it out before the pancakes!” Torben said as he, Soria and Inflight are heading to a palm tree outside the city.

However, they were unaware that Tatsuya, Ember, and Rogan had slipped through the alleyways and hidden themselves among the bushes, then they hid behind the trees.

Not far away from the city, they saw a mother who called for help.

“Help! Someone, please! Help! Oh! Oh, hold on, sweetie! We'll save you!” A mother called as her daughter was stuck on the tree while her Alolan Meowth protects her from angry Spearows.

“Help! Mama! Get me down from here!” A girl screamed as Alolan Meowth uses its Fury Swipes at the first Spearow.

“This looks bad! A girl is attacked by an angry Spearows on the tree!” Soria cried worriedly.

“I’ll handle these Spearows.” Torben picks up his Poké Ball, tosses it and releases a Mouse Pokémon, Pikachu.

This male Pikachu wears the red training bracers on his arms.

“Pika!” Pikachu cries happily.

“Pikachu, use Quick Attack on Spearows!” Torben commanded and Pikachu nodded.

♫Pokémon Sun and Moon Anime Unreleased BGM - Battle! Wild Pokémon (SM M09)♫

Pikachu’s body becomes outlined in a light blue aura, and he charges at the opponent with incredible speed, and hits the first Spearow.

The Spearows become angry and decide to attack Pikachu instead. They’re trying to hurt him with their Wing Attack or Peck, but Pikachu dodge them then counterattacks with Thunder Punch and Quick Attack.

“Now when Pikachu keeps them busy, you go save the girl!” Torben said.

“Okay.” Soria nodded and headed to the palm tree where a girl’s still stuck with Alolan Meowth.

While they’re at it, Tatsuya, Ember and Rogan are hiding in the bushes and are watching Soria and Inflight.

“Now we’ll wait to see what happened.” Tatsuya whispered.

“It’s okay, little one! Jump and I’ll catch you!” Soria called as she spread her arms to let the girl know that she’s going to catch her.

“I-I can’t! I am afraid to jump from the tree! I could hurt myself!” The girl cried.

“Soria, I got an idea! Maybe you need to inflate to make yourself an air mattress!” Inflight suggested.

“Okay.” Soria said.

Inflight jumps down from her left shoulder and lands on the ground, and she closes her eyes, and focuses on her powers as her gem on her forehead glows, and shares the energy into Soria.

And then Soria’s body swells up into a full sphere instantly, appropriately with the sound effect of a balloon filled with air, with her limbs a bit puffed, and hovers in the midair.

The girl’s eyes widened in surprise to see Soria puffed up like a balloon while Inflight used her powers to make Soria lay down on the ground on her back.

“Oh my…!” The girl’s mother gasped, amazed.

Behind the bushes, Tatsuya, Ember and Rogan’s eyes widened in surprise at Soria’s puffed-up condition. Then Tatsuya smiles that he knew that she was inflated thanks to Inflight’s powers.

“So that’s how it happened.” Tatsuya whispered.

“Okay, kid! Jump on my stomach!” Soria called as the girl nodded slowly before she hugged Alolan Meowth.

Then she slowly jumps off the tree, and bounces at Starry’s ballooned belly like it was a trampoline or Snorlax’s belly, then slides carefully to the ground.

And then afterward, Soria deflates instantly to her normal self again, and gets up while the girl ran to her mother and hugged her.

“Mama!” The girl cried happily.

“Oh, thank Arceus, you’re okay.” The girl’s mother said happily, as she’s looking at Soria and Inflight. “Thank you both so much.”

“Glad to help, ma’am.” Soria said.

“How did you do that? Was that your Pokémon's power?” The girl’s mother asked.

“Yes, pretty awesome, isn’t it?” Soria said as Inflight blushes and giggled.

“Okay, Pikachu! Let’s wrap it up with your Thunderbolt!” Torben shouted as Pikachu nodded.

The Electric Mouse Pokémon was surrounded by Spearows, but he’s not backing down that easily so he started to charge his electricity from his cheek sacs.

“Piiika…” Pikachu growled.

When Torben’s Pikachu’s about to release a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from his body, a purple beam of energy hits all Spearows who fall to the ground.

“What was that?” A girl’s mother asks in shock as she keeps holding her daughter while their Alolan Meowth hisses and retracts its claws.

“Is that… the Dragon Pulse move?” Soria asked as Torben looked around.

“Yeah, but where did it come from? Torben asked as his Pikachu raised his ears and turned his head at the bushes.

♫Pokémon the Movie 20 I Choose You! Music Collection - Spearow Attacks!♫

Suddenly, a bipedal, Draconian Pokémon that is primarily dark blue in color, came out of the bushes and dashed towards Pikachu.

“It’s Garchomp!” Soria shouted as she recognized the Ground/Dragon type Pokémon.

Then a light-blue aura forms around each of the male Garchomp's fins and then the Mach Pokémon swung the fins to strike Pikachu who manages to dodge.

“Use Iron Tail!” Torben shouted as Pikachu’ tail glows white or turns into iron and strikes Garchomp’s chest.

Garchomp leaps backwards and glares at Pikachu, then it glares at Soria and Inflight, and chuckles.

“What did this Garchomp come from?” Inflight asked.

Then Tatsuya came out of the bushes first and walked over to Garchomp, and said. “This Garchomp is mine, and he’s my main Pokémon and my partner.”

“Tatsuya!” Soria growled.

“Did you let Garchomp attack Spearow on purpose? We just scared them off with Thunderbolt!” Torben questioned angrily.

“Oh, we would like to take them with us as our special guests.” Tatsuya said as a large, avian Pokémon resembling a raven, Corviknight came out of the bushes and flew towards the fainted Spearows while holding the net on its talons.

“A Corviknight?” Soria asked as Corviknight dropped the net above the Spearows and Pikachu.

“Quick, Pikachu! Get out of there!” Torben shouted as Pikachu obeyed his orders and ran away before the net captured all Spearows.

The net rope was pulled by Rogan with his strength.

“Haha, well done, Corviknight!” Rogan laughed victoriously until the net stopped with fainted Spearows beside him.

“Hey! Let go of the Spearows!” Soria shouted angrily as she tossed the Poké Ball and released her Swanna. “Swanna, cut the net with your Wing Attack!”

Swanna’s wings glow light blue and fly towards the net, and suddenly a large, moth-like Pokémon with four small feet, Volcarona, came out of the bushes.

Volcarona flaps its wings, releasing a wind with silver crescents of energy in them at Swanna who dodges its attack and flies back to Soria.

“Volcarona?! What is this Bug/Fire Type Pokémon doing here?” Torben asked as Ember came out of the bushes.

“Not so fast, girl. Do you believe I allowed you to interfere?” Ember taunted as the Volcarona hovered beside her.

“That Volcarona belongs to that woman… And that Corviknight belongs to that other man. Just… who are they?” Soria thought.

“Good work, Rogan. That was a great catch.” Tatsuya said.

“Thanks, Tatsu! Thanks to your Garchomp we got Spearows from the Alola region too.” Rogan said.

“What did you think you were doing?” The girl’s mother questioned angrily.

“What we were doing was our business, plain, and simple.” Rogan replied simply.

“For stealing the Spearows who attacked my baby? Just who do you think you are?” The girl’s mother asked angrily.

“We take it from here. Just go back to your house and stay there.” Torben said as the girl’s mother nodded and ran off with her daughter and Meowth.

“Tatsu, I think it’s time to introduce ourselves.” Ember said as she approached Tatsuya who crossed his arms and smirked.

“Yes, I believe it’s time. After all, we got our special guests right here.” Tatsuya said as he looked at Soria and Inflight.

“Yeah, I agree. Let’s do this.” Rogan nodded.

“Answer us, Tatsuya! What are you three?” Soria demanded as Tatsuya, Ember and Rogan started their motto.

“Did someone ask something? We're here to find out!” Ember started.

“Noble answers are what we're all about!” Tatsuya added.

“Now pay attention!” Rogan shouted.

“The beauty so radiant the flames and moon hide in shame. A single fire of evil in this fleeting world: Ember!” Ember introduces herself as the background of beautiful embers while the fire is behind her and making a pose.

“The nobly fearless man of our times. The master of dragons fighting back against the tragic world: Tatsuya!” Tatsuya introduces himself as the background shows the shadows of the dragons behind him and makes a pose.

“It's all for one and one for all, a glittering Steel Wing that always shines bright. Watch out, when the Steel Champion takes flight: Rogan!” Rogan introduces himself as the steel background shows behind and makes a pose.

Then the cyclone shows and then the logo with the cyclone symbol on, and Tatsuya and Ember, with their Garchomp and Volcarona, show up.

“Team Cyclone, circling Earth all day and night!” Ember said.

“Surrender now, or prepare yourselves for a fight!” Tatsuya said.

Then Rogan fell down and landed between Ember and Tatsuya.

“Yeah, that’s right!” Rogan said as his Corviknight flew above him.

After their mottos concluded, a long awkward pause occurred while Soria, Torben, Pikachu and Inflight were looking confused.

“How many times have you rehearsed that...?” Soria asked as the Team Cyclone fell down on the ground, comically.

“Twenty-five times and you couldn't even appreciate all that effort!?” Ember shouted, angrily.

“Well, I guess we are the bad guys to them…” Rogan sighed as she, Tatsuya and Ember were getting up on their feet.

“Anyway, we were observing that Pokémon of yours using that power to inflate you like a balloon, toots.” Tatsuya said as he’s looking at Inflight who was gasping. “And I knew it was you, all the time.”

“Wait a minute… You were spying on us?!” Torben asked.

“What can I say? We’re good spies and thieves.” Rogan said as he pats his Corviknight’s head.

“What do you want with Inflight?” Soria questioned angrily.

“Well, as you can see, we have a plan for our little guy here.” Tatsuya smirked as Inflight froze in shock for a moment.

“Little… guy?” Inflight questioned, then getting angry at them. “Excuse me! That was a rude thing to say to a lady like myself!”

“A lady? Wait… You… You… You are a girl?!” Tatsuya stammered in shock.

“Ohhh!” Rogan gasped as he covered his mouth with his hand.

“Oy, talk about gender confusion. I thought it’s just a cute little boy.” Ember shrugged.

“Well, you thought wrong this time, Ember. Still, I have no idea this Pokémon can speak through telepathy.” Tatsuya said while smirking.

“And you’re the sky people who try to capture me, huh? Well, tough luck, you’re not going to catch me this time!” Inflight shouted.

“What do you guys really want with Inflight?” Soria questioned.

“Let me explain.” Tatsuya said. “You see, without this rarest Airborne Pokémon, call me a pessimist, but I should think to find out where to find the Legendary Pokémon will continue being as bothersomely tedious as it has been thus far.”

“Whereas with this Pokémon we, Team Cyclone can wrest total control simply by capturing her to use her to track down all kinds of Legendary Pokémon which are the Flying-type.” Tatsuya explained.

“Which I might do anyway, because… [Laughing] As they say, “absolute power corrupts absolutely”.” Tatsuya laughed as Ember and Rogan started to laugh as well.

With a scowl from Garchomp, Ember and Rogan stopped laughing and shut their mouths

“Oh… 'Scuse me.” Rogan apologizes, and Garchomp turns his head to Tatsuya and gives him a nod to let him continue to talk.

“Regardless, you can appreciate the time you'll save yourselves by handing Inflight over, so I can do away with you and we, Team Cyclone, become the rulers of the skies!” Tatsuya demanded, but Soria stood up against him and stood between him and Inflight.

“Forget it, Tatsu! That’s not going to happen!” Soria shouted.

“Huh? And why not?” Tatsuya asked, irritated.

“Because I promised myself since I met Inflight, I will protect her no matter what it takes, even if I am going to face dangers ahead. I won’t be bullied by thieves like you!” Soria shouted angrily.

Inflight was amazed as her eyes reflected in relief, as Torben smiled while closing his eyes.

“Well said, Soria.” Torben said.

“If you want to take Inflight or her friends, or any Flying Pokémon, then you have to get through me first!” Soria shouted as Swanna agreed and let her cry in determination.

♫Pokémon M22: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution Music Collection - I Won't Lose♫

“Then it sounds like you challenged us to a Pokémon Battle, huh?” Tatsuya growled as his fist shook in fury. “Fine then, then let our battle begin!”

“Three against one is not fair, so I joined in too!” Torben said as he tosses two Poké Balls. “Turtonator, Lycanroc, I choose you!”

And the Poké Balls released Turtonator and Lycanroc Dusk Form who let their respective cries and faces Garchomp and Corviknight.

“Ah, so you got Turtonator, eh? That surprises me a bit that you have a dual-type Fire/Dragon Pokémon.” Tatsuya said. “But nobody can ever, EVER defeat my Garchomp!”

Garchomp swung his fins and made his pose while roaring, “GAAAAAAR!!”

“We shall see about that! Turtonator, Dragon Pulse attack!” Torben shouted as he commanded his main partner.

Turtonator opens his mouth and fires a purple beam of energy at Garchomp who simply dodges it.

“Good dodge, Garchomp! Now show that turtle the true Dragon Pulse!” Tatsuya said as Garchomp fired his Dragon Pulse from his mouth.

Garcomp’s Dragon Pulse hits directly at Turtonator’s chest and pushes him backwards, and it’s super effective.

“Now, Dragon Claw!” Tatsuya commands as a light-purple aura forms around each of Garchomp's fins and then Garchomp charges towards Turtonator.

“Turtonator, Shell Trap!” Torben shouted as Turtonator turned his shell at Garchomp.

When Garchomp’s Dragon Claws make contact with the spikes on Turtonator's shell, the spikes explode. That explosion hurts Garchomp, literally.

“Now, use Dragon Tail!” Torben shouted as Turtonator's tail glows light-purple, and grows in size and length.

Then Turtonator swung his tail to hit Garchomp, but missed after Garchomp leapt into the air.

“Garchomp, Dig!” Tatsuya commands as Garchomp dives into the ground.

“Oh, no…! Garchomp’s using his Dig attack. Turtonator is weak against the Ground-type moves.” Soria said.

“When he’s Fire-type, then yeah.” Torben said, then shouted to Turtonator. “Turtonator, be careful! Garchomp is coming up from the ground any second now!”

Turtonator nodded and walked around slowly while looking in any direction. Suddenly, Garchomp comes up from underground and hits Turtonator and sends the Blast Pokémon into the air and falls to the ground.

“Turtonator!” Torben shouted.

“Pikachu!” Pikachu shouted, likewise.

“And it’s down for the count. Your Turtonator was good, but as I said, nobody defeated Garchomp.” Tatsuya said.

“Well done, Tatsuya. And now, let’s see how this Dusk Form Lycanroc really can do.” Rogan said, then commanded his Corviknight. “Corviknight, use Steel Wing!”

Corviknight wings glow blue and white and fly towards Lycanroc.

“Quick, Lycanroc! Use Accelerock!” Torben shouted.

Lycanroc surrounds itself in a white aura and then slams itself into Corviknight at a high speed. But Corviknight dodges his attack and turns around and hits Lycanroc.

After slams into the ground, Lycanroc faints.

“No, Lycanroc!” Torben shouted.

“Hahahaha! Kill one stone with one bird as they say!” Rogan laughed as Torben called his fainted Pokémon back into the Poké Balls.

“That's not exactly how that saying goes.” Torben corrected.

“It is now.” Rogan smirked as Ember took two steps in front of Soria and Swanna.

“Now it’s you and Swanna’s turn.” Ember said as Soria and Swanna glared at them.

“We won’t lose to you! Swanna, Wing Attack!” Soria commands as Swanna’s wings glow light blue and fly towards Volcarona.

“Volcarona, use Fiery Dance!” Ember commands.

Volcarona forms a ring of fireballs around her body. She then flaps her wings, launching the fireballs at Swanna who dodges the fireballs and hits the Sun Pokémon.

“Gotcha!” Soria cheers.

But Volcarona doesn’t take enough damage from the Flying-type move and screeches.

“What!? But Wing Attack should have been super effective!? And did that barely do any damage!?” Soria gasped.

“That's because I fed Volcarona here a Coba Berry before the battle. Heard you specialized in Flying Type, so I thought it would help! Hahahaha!” Ember laughed.

“Coba Berry?” Soria gasped.

“Coba Berries temporarily lessen the damage of flying moves on Pokémon that eat them!” Torben explained, frustrated.

“Alright, time to use the Water-type move! Bubble Beam attack, Swanna!” Soria commanded.

The inside of Swanna's beak glows light blue, and she fires multiple light blue bubbles from her beak at Volcarona, and directly hits her.

“Ugh, I hate Water-type moves! Volcarona, teach that bird who’s the top of the food chain! Use your Flame Wheel!” Ember grunts, then commands.

Volcarona flies at Swanna and her whole body becomes enveloped in flames. She then tackles Swanna, and that was a critical hit, and White Bird Pokémon falls down to the ground.

“No! Swanna!” Soria cries.

“Ha, told you so!” Ember laughed.

“Well, now when you're defeated, and I guess you've got no choice. Let Inflight in and watch Team Cyclone win.” Tatsuya said.

♫Pokémon Movie 1 BGM: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Ash's Will to Battle (First Half 0:25 to 1:19)♫

“Never!” Soria shouted as Inflight was stunned to see her and Torben battle the Team Cyclone Trio with their efforts to stop them, even though they lost to them.

“Soria… Tor… You two fought for me and my friends… Nobody ever fought for me before.” Inflight thoughts as she’s looking at Soria and Torben.

“If those two will never give up on their battles… Then… I shall not give up either. I must fight!” Inflight thoughts as she now shows her serious and determined expression.

Then Inflight walks through Soria and Torben and confronts Garchomp, Corviknight and Volcarona and then looks at the Team Cyclone trio.

“Inflight?” Soria asked.

“So, have you decided to come with us, Inflight? Together, we can rule the skies and we become its masters.” Tatsuya said.

“No.” Inflight answered.

“No?!” Tatsuya barked, questionably.

“Do you believe that I shall come with you to rule the skies? I don’t think so! I won’t allow any of you sky people… No… Team Cyclone captures all kinds of Flying Pokémon in any region! If you’re going to capture them, the Legendary Pokémon or my friends, I’LL FIGHT YOU!!!” Inflight replied, then shouted determinedly.

“Hmm.” Tatsuya hums, then smirks. “Very well, then let’s see how strong you are, despite using your ability to inflate yourself.”

♫Pokémon Journeys The Series Original Soundtrack Vol.1 - It's a Pokémon Battle!♫

“Hey, Garchomp, capture her!” Tatsuya commands as Garchomp charges at Inflight.

“Bad move… PLAY ROUGH!!” Inflight shouted as she jumps towards Garchomp and cloaks him with a thick, white smoke surrounded by stars.

She then repeatedly hits him with her tail, and one last hit sends Garchomp flying to the ground, which shocks the Team Cyclone Trio.

“What the-?!” Tatsuya gasped as Garchomp got up and roared at Inflight. “Strikes back with your Dragon Claw, Garchomp!”

Garchomp’s claws glow light purple, and again he charges at Inflight and strikes her.

But nothing worked; the Dragon Claw is not affecting her.

“It-It’s not working?!” Tatsuya shouted as Garchomp took a few steps backward in fear; he realized Inflight is a Fairy Type.

“If it’s not working on Inflight, then that means… She’s a Fairy Type?!” Tatsuya asked in shock.

“That’s right, Dragon Master. And I have something to show your pet.” Inflight said, and raises one of her hands and forms an orb of bright pink energy on it.

“Here we go! MOONBLAST!!” Inflight shouted as she fired the orb at Garchomp.

The orb hits directly at Garchomp, and sends him flying to the ground, and now he’s fainted.

“No, that’s impossible!” Tatsuya cried in shock.

“Amazing…!” Torben said, amazed.

“Inflight’s incredibly powerful…!” Soria whispered, amazed.

“Corviknight, use your Steel Wing and take her down!” Rogan shouted as Corviknight wings glow blue and white and fly towards Inflight.

“INFLIGHT, LOOK OUT!!” Soria shouted.

Inflight saw Corviknight who flew towards her, and screamed. “AAAAAAAH!”

“I got you covered, Inflight! Pikachu, use your Thunderbolt!” Torben shouted as Pikachu leaped towards Corviknight.

“Piiika-Chuuuuuu!!” Pikachu cries as his yellow sparks appear around Pikachu's tail and cheeks before releasing a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from its body at Corviknight.

It's a direct hit, and it forces Raven Pokémon to land on the ground, before Pikachu uses his Thunder Punch and hits Corviknight’s cheek which makes the Flying Pokémon slide backwards.

“Pikachu!” Inflight said happily.

“Inflight, Pikachu and I are taking care of Corviknight, you’ll handle that Volcarona!” Torben said.

“Got it!” Inflight nodded, and dashed towards Volcarona.

“Quick, Volcarona! Use Fiery Dance!” Ember shouted.

Volcarona forms a ring of fireballs around her body. She then flaps her wings, launching the fireballs at Inflight who dodges them while she runs at the opponent and her body becomes surrounded in white streaks of energy.

Inflight then jumped into the air and shouted. “AERIAL ACE!!”

Then she directly hits Volcarona, and this time, it’s Super Effective.

“Oh no!” Ember cries in shock.

“This time the Coba Berry can’t help you! HURRICANE!!!” Inflight shouted as she released a strong gust of wind from her mouth at Volcarona.

After the strong windstorm hits Volcarona, the Sun Pokémon falls down to the ground, and she faints.

“No! My poor darling!” Ember cries.

“Amazing… Inflight won…!” Soria said, amazed.

“Hey, Soria! I could use your help from your Fletchinder!” Torben said.

“Okay. Let’s go, Fletchinder!” Soria said as she tosses her Poké Ball and releases Fletchinder and flies besides Torben’s Pikachu.

“Grrr, I’ll crush you all! Corviknight, Drill Peck!” Rogan shouted as Corviknight rams into Pikachu and Fletchinder with his beak and rotates his body like a drill.

Good thing that Pikachu and Fletchinder split up and dodged Corviknight’s attack.

“Fletchinder, use Flame Charge!!” Soria shouted.

Fletchinder becomes enveloped in red flames and he tackles Corviknight. When the move is used, Fletchinder’s speed increases.

“Corviknight, use Hurricane at Pikachu!” Rogan commands as Corviknight flaps his wings and releases a powerful gust of wind from them at Pikachu.

Luckily, thanks to Fletchinder’s increased speed, the Ember Pokémon grabs Pikachu’s hands with his talons.

“Phew, good one, Fletchinder!” Soria sighed in relief.

“Corviknight, fly up higher in the sky and prepare your Brave Bird!” Rogan shouted as Corviknight flew upwards, and his body became surrounded by an orange aura.

“Soria, we need to make a team attack together to cancel the Brave Bird attack!” Torben said.

“Right, and I know how. Inflight, inflate your body with your Expansation!” Soria shouted.

“You got it!” Inflight nodded, and she closed her eyes, and focused on her powers as her gem on her forehead glows, and shares the energy within her and inflates her body like a balloon.

“So what’s your plan?” Torben asked.

“Pikachu uses his Quick Attack and bounces off Inflight’s ballooned body to increase his strength and speed!” Soria suggested.

“It's worth a try.” Torben nodded, and then commanded. “Pikachu, use your Quick Attack at Inflight’s ballooned belly, and bounce off her.”

Pikachu nodded, “Pika!” and then his body became outlined in a light blue aura, and he charged at Inflight’s ballooned belly and bounces off her. His Quick Attack becomes extremely fast and forceful and hits Corviknight’s torso and cancels his attack.

“No way! How could Pikachu’s Quick Attack become stronger and faster?!” Rogan questioned.

After the impact, Corviknight’s falling towards the Team Cyclone Trio.

“Now, Pikachu, use Thunderbolt one more time!” shouted as Pikachu leaped towards Corviknight.

“Piiika-Chuuuuuu!!” Pikachu cries as he releases a powerful bolt of yellow electricity from its body at Corviknight.

It's a direct hit, and it forces Raven Pokémon to fall faster and crashes into the Team Cyclone trio, and leaves the cloud of dust.

It seems like Soria and Torben won their battle against Team Cyclone Trio.

“Alright! We won!” Soria and Torben cheered as Pikachu safely landed on Inflight’s ballooned belly after the Airborne Pokémon laid her back on the ground.

Then after Inflight deflated to her regular form, she leaped into Soria’s arms and hugged her.

“Inflight, you were amazing! You’re very strong, and wonderful!” Soria said as Inflight blushing.

“Aw, thanks, Soria. I am thanking you because you motivated me to keep going, and I will fight for you, your friends, and Pokémon.” Inflight said.

“Yes, and our fighting spirit helped us win.” Soria said.

Slowly, Team Cyclone Trio gets up and withdraws their Pokémon since they already fainted.

“You may have won, girl, but our mission is not over yet!” Tatsuya said.

“That’s right, and we’ll be back for you someday and want a rematch!” Rogan said.

“Whatever. But no matter where you are going, we will protect Flying Pokémon as Soria said.” Torben said.

“So your name is Soria, huh? Very cute name. Do you want to protect Inflight? Then fine, but we can still carry on our mission to capture the Flying Pokémon, Legendary Pokémon and her friends.” Tatsuya said.

“Then we’ll stop you no matter what you do.” Soria said.

“If you’re trying to stop us, then feel the wrath of Team Cyclone!” Ember threatened.

“Threaten my friends? Big mistake, Miss Hothead.” Inflight said as she focused on her powers as her gem on her forehead glows, and shares the energy within Ember, who becomes enraged when someone calls that word she hates.

“Excuse me! Did I just hear you say “Miss Hothead”?! My name is Ember, and my passion burns like fire-” Ember shouted angrily, then she felt her body start to inflate.

“What the-?!” Tatsuya gasped as Ember's body inflated bigger and rounder as she lifted off the ground until she stopped inflating to the size of a hot air balloon.

“HEY, WHAT’S HAPPENING TO ME?!” Ember screaming.

“There you go, Miss Hothead.” Inflight said as she waved her arm. “Have a nice trip!”

Ember starts to float away over the ocean as Tatsuya and Rogan hastily chase after her and grab her body, but Inflight’s power is too strong inside Ember who keeps floating higher towards the sky.

“Hang on, Ember! We’re here!” Rogan shouted.

“Just hold still and don’t panic!” Tatsuya said.

“DO I LOOK I PANICKING, YOU IDIOTS?! GET ME DOWN FROM THE SKY!!” Ember shouted as she flapped her hands and feet rapidly.

On the ground, Soria, Pikachu, Inflight, and Torben were laughing at the Team Cyclone’s comedic predicament.

“Hahahaha! Now that’s funny! Good one, Inflight!” Soria laughed.

“And good riddance. It looks like they’re heading to Poni Island.” Torben said.

“I believe I can speed up their flight.” Inflight said as she canceled her ability.

In the sky, the blast of air came out of Ember’s mouth, and with a sound of “pshhh”, she flew backward across the ocean while Tatsuya and Rogan screamed.

“Looks like Team Cyclone’s gone with the wind!!!” Tatsuya and Rogan scream as they and deflating Ember flies towards the horizon and disappears.

On the ground, Soria, Inflight, Torben, and Pikachu keep laughing until they calm down.

“Well, they are gone now.” Torben said.

“Yeah, but did you hear what they’re saying? They will be back, and they’re going to capture the Flying Pokémon, even the Legendary ones and my friends.” Inflight said.

“Don’t worry, Inflight. With your powers, I am sure we can stop Team Cyclone no matter what it takes.” Soria said.

“Yeah. But I don’t think we can do this alone, Soria. We need some other trainers from different regions who can help us to stop Team Cyclone and rescue the Flying Pokémon.” Torben said as Soria got an idea.

“Oh, I know exactly who can help us out.” Soria said as she got an idea.

“Huh? Who?” Inflight asked.

“I’m talking about my uncle who comes from the Sinnoh region, Professor Rajko Owen.” Soria said. “Maybe he can help us to find your friends, Inflight.”

“Really? That’s great!” Inflight said happily.

“Well, shall we talk to your dad first, Soria?” Torben asked.

“Yeah, we’d better shall.” Soria said. “After all…”

Then they heard a growl from her stomach, which made Soria blushing and laughed sheepishly. “I’m getting hungry.”

“Hahahaha! Okay, Soria. Let’s eat at a café, and then we'll tell your daddy afterward.” Torben said.

“Yeah, let’s eat!” Soria cheers.

“I’m in!” Inflight cheered.

“Pika!” Pikachu cheered happily.
