Geledrix the Star Student

Background: Geledrix grew up in a Hidden underground Valkirtani Kingdom.
Following the fall of the Valkirtani Empire, large amounts of Valkirtani were killed by the Tannin Uprising, some of then fled across the East Sea to try to reestablish themselves in a new land, others stayed on the continent and hid in more remote locations. One of these groups ended up finding a gigantic cavern chamber and decided to build their new civilization there suspended over an active Lava Lake. In this city the worth of a dragon depends almost entirely on how useful they are, anybody who is "Not Useful" is considered a danger to their entire civilization and continued existance of their people so if you can't be reformed you will be made into something useful to everybody.
Geledrix was not born among the elite, he was lucky to be accepted into their ranks and go to the best academy in the Kingdom looking to move his way up the ranks among the best of the best in order to get a position next to the queen.

Personality: Geledrix tries to maintain a cold, ruthless, and respectable presence like he is always in control of himself and the room around him ruthlessly stepping over others in pursuit of his goal to be recognized by the Queen as the Top Student and eventually become her right hand Dragon. Most dragons take him for being arrogant and snobbish but his mask hides the truth that he has a deep ingrained self loathing and inferiority complex feeling as though he needs to validate his existance constantly in order to continue living.
His mother died when he was a young boy of illness due to the volcanic fumes where they lived, and his Father was tried as a criminal for not holding up to productivity standards. Geledrix was scared by what was done to his father and promised himself he would never let that happen to himself, he would be the best citizen there was and rise above his rank to get to the very top.
Repressed below his need for validation he really is a kind young dragon who wants to help his kingdom and all of their people, but his perspective on what helps the kingdom is somewhat twisted by his need to fit in among the elite.

He tries to push himself harder to be the best at everything in order to validate his existance but his actual stamina is kinda mediocre from growing up outside the elite sanctuary breathing polluted air.

He has been given the best training in Valkirtani Magic that the Academy can offer. He understands some advanced spells, but certain information has been kept from him.

Intelligence: 7/10
He is academic and highly studious but his actual knowledge is highly limited by his upbringing which has included certain lies and misinformation.

Combat ability: 6/10
He has been trained to fight, he knows combative magic, and is top of his class, but only in a regulated sparring for sport scenarios not in an actual fight for his life.
