This is the original appearance of Team PK Indigo (as they appear in PMD Rescue Team DX) that also serves as the inspiration for my Swampert/Swolfpert fursona, and what got me into the furry fandom as a whole a few years back.
Here, I'll shed light on some seldom-known details about my forgotten Typhlosion partner, and thier background that I haven't quite explained in my main fursona's lore.
She is Cynda, my trustworthy, longtime partner across the PMD games who has unwaveringly had my back through every job, Monster House, Legendary fight, 99 floor dungeon, you name it. Normally, she has a sweet, friendly personality and gets along well with most people. But as a fire type, she does have a bit of a temper and getting her PO'ed isn't really a good idea unless you want to be cooked alive.
Cynda was originally supposed to become an eventual love interest/girlfriend for Xevy and even appear in arts alongside them but... IRL depression, feelings of isolation and all manner of negative emotions overcame me back then, and I had to readjust her lore and background to acommodate for the lack of motivation to fully flesh out her character development any more. I've ultimately settled with Cynda being the "She who must not be seen" type who plays a pivotal role in our Mystery Dungeon adventures, and getting the occasional mention.
As of today, Since Xevy spends more time in the Turf War circuit than exploring dungeons, Cynda has taken over leadership of Team PK Indigo in his absence. Thanks to thier shared experience and high level, she can competently lead a team just as well as Xevy with a decent success rate in most adventures. Her Flamethrower, Double Kick, Quick Attack and Eruption attacks provide wide type coverage and decent range against foes, help pave the way for Team PK Indigo in their dungeon adventures today and beyond.
Some other trivia and hidden details:
- The color palette for my fursona was taken from this very screenshot. I loved how PMD DX presented much more vibrant colors on the Pokemon themselves over the blander more natural tones in the core series
- This screenshot also served as the basis for my first commed art of and upload of my sona here on FA
- The team's name "PK Indigo" was derived from a particular fan-made online pokemon game I used to play during my childhood. Not sure if it still is up or around tho
- This is the first appearance of my sona's Swampert form in almost another year since thier last one.
