Hello everycreature again! We"re back with a completely new artwork.
Of course you have to know so far that the Olympics are running right now in Paris. It is for me a really exciting occasion every time it happens because I can learn a lot about different sports and maybe most important, sharing with my family and friends what happens during the games. For Tokyo I drew a piece with Cloudchaser in the Ice Archery, please check it out here. For this occasion I wanted to raise up the level, and since the last two Olympics have been trying to promote the gender equality, here we have our two favorite dragons, Smolder and Spike, about to take part of a flying competition starting in the Olympic stadium during a new edition of the Equestria Games.
Of course, this artwork required really important elements like the typical clothes of the athletes during the track and field events, similar graphics of what we watch on TV and other small additions. I"m sorry if you"re missing the diapers in this artwork. In this occasion I was looking for a different look and a more ambitious artwork, diapers will return really soon after a short break :)
This drawing was of course, really fun to do, a bit challenging because of the poses and certain small elements, but I"m really proud with the final result I could get nwn
The only question now is... Who is going to win the gold? :3

It's going to be a tight competition for sure :3
It makes since they're out of diapers since they're both older by this point, based on Spike's wings.
Besides diapers are not aerodynamic and will slow them during the competition. They can be big dragons for one day at least :P Later we will see :P
Well, as she may say, you cannot spell Godigony without "Gold". I have no doubt that Spike will do his best to win, but Goldigony may be just a more commited athlete than Spike. (What also does not help Spike is how Twilight is always having him do administrative / secretarial jobs for her that simply do not build up the skill and endurance that Goldigony must have.).
Spike is a good sport and would take losing to Goldigony a lot better than if she lost the race to him. I also imagine her representing The Dragon Lands in The Equestrian Games would certainly help her make new friends while showing just how far dragons have come towards being friendly as a result of Princess Ember being their leader. (Something tells me that Spike would be representing Ponyville, or Canterlot. However, I think it would be really interesting if Spike were representing The Crystal Empire. "Spike: The Brave & Glorious could definitely be an asset to The Crystal Empire team.).

Hehe all that you mention sounds really nice and logical Yosh. You're right about how Goldigony would beat Spike due to her experience in physical stuff compared to the secretary dragon hehe.
The only thing is that Spike is going to compete here against Smolder :P but don't worry, I understand, adding Goldigony would be really nice too hehe.
