And here we are at the final page. Thank you everyone who enjoyed, favorited and commented. I have enjoyed your feedback and predictions, right or wrong.
Thank you for coming along with me on this journey. Let me know if you have any questions about the story. I'll probably do a journal entry with some commentary on the entire story.

I'm working on it. I won't be posting any pages until the entire thing is drawn, inked, colored and done. Might take some time.
Ooh, I'm relieved to be honest. And i enjoyed it immensely, love all these people, the rude Aransas included.
I envision felines hands in the same way by the way, with the last phalanx curved up.

Thank you! I am so glad. This was a fun comic to create and I'm quite proud of it and the characters.
Feline hands are fun to draw that way.

That bandage on his neck is so cute for some reason.
And I'm pleased to not be the only one who knows that deer actually do enjoy a bit of meat in their diet. What they're eating here sounds delicious. Maybe I'm just hungry.

In my first sketches of this page, he didn't have the bandage, but I couldn't think of any other way of implying that he took a little bit of damage.
It is indeed a common misconception that deer are purely vegetarian. They'll even eat baby birds on occasion.
Nilgai is quite tasty. Also, a fun bit of trivia--Nilgai is an invasive species in a few southern Texas counties.

They got here because a Texan who loved big game hunting imported some from India about a century ago. He thought the herd would not escape the confines of his giant ranch.

The story began and ended with Nilgai.

Haha, that was the perfect ending XD Love that he enjoys some meat as well
And easily one of my favorite anthro comics :D I really hope you do more in the future
I am already drawing another story with Sinh, his wives, Ajasabah and a introducing a few new characters. I want to get the entire thing finished before I post pages, but I'll be posting a snippet here and there. I am honored for Nandavanam House to be among your favorites.
What a great comic, beautifully drawn and the story and pace were perfect! Thank you!
Thank you for saying so. I hope the follow-up I'm working on will be as well received.
What a ride ♥ Thank you for sharing!! I'm excited to see what's up next in this household!
Thank you! I am a little sad we've come to the end of this journey but I'm already 12 pages into drawing the next story. :) We will see a lot more of Sinh's life and local environment.
Also, we get to see his third wife who is mentioned by name in Bear Witness but not seen.

Terry Pratchett showed us that "rest of his life" is rather subjective, such as when he said: "Teach a man to build a fire, and he'll be warm for the night. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." :P
DARN IT... Iiiiiiiii mean, how fortunate he survived! Ha ha ha... (lamb now has to hide all the shady accounting she was doing with his investments)
;D
;D
THANK YOU for including that deer do eat meat sometimes!
Glad to see he survived, but i'm eager to know what happens if he comes back in three days ;)
An amazing comic, my friend. I greatly enjoyed it, and hope you do more in the future!

Deer definitely like meat. I've seen them in person devour hotdogs.
You can find out what happens in three days if you buy the print edition I'll be releasing. It will have an extended epilogue that adds 3-4 pages.
I am so glad you enjoyed it. There will be more.

People seem to forget that with herbivores- i've seen cows eat chicks!
I'm so so excited to see more!!

I admit, biding my time, trying not to comment and speculate what was going to happen was quite hard. With your story-telling it could have gone anywhere which meant each page was a story in and of itself, a fantastic classic serial style release. I adored the subtlety you used. Walter's genuine concern for Aransas, showing he truly saw the buck as a friend. The way each character feels as if they have unique identities despite not a lot of dialogue. Well done story telling. I look forward to more. I have to say that when I was trying to guess where this was going, I half expected the buck to get pegged by the lionesses. Sinh is clearly Bi, and that reference to taking much bigger made me wonder if they played such games with their husband. But not disappointed in the slightest.
Thank you for all of this praise. I had a lot of moving parts to keep track of and had fun layering the details in.
One early outline for the story featured Mr. Hawthorne getting pegged but I decided to go with something more primal and shorter lived. Something more...lion. Also, getting off can sort of ruin the magic, so why not get this impudent deer off so he snaps out of his fantasy high?
Sinh is definitely bi. In the follow-up story I'm working on, we get a bigger glance into Sinh's overall sex-life and well...life.

What a delicious story. Glad he gets to come back, seems like he may have learned a little something about himself. Maybe everyone did. And the ladies certainly seemed to their share of it.
I am quite glad you enjoyed it. Aransas definitely learned something about himself and might even feel bad for his rude, pushy, manipulative behavior.
Wow!!! There was even a mini-twist in this final page.
Very well done and I look forward to the next adventure! You are fantastic!

I totally thought they were eating Aransas' kibbles and bits at least. But no, everything ended up super nice. And a nice little bit of allure at the end. Masterful work. I've been a fan of yours for many, many years for good reason.
With the last page, I don't want to miss the chance to tell you once again how much I love the comic - the great drawings, the coloring, the narrative pace, the many small details in the story. It's quite fine Hawthorne survived - I had suspected that, but because the story's open nature til the very end, I would have understood (I wouldn't take offense) if the deer had to die in a wild game with the lionesses. At least he would have got what he wanted, but would have paid the highest price for.
I want to emphasize once again how much I like the lionesses. If there were actually anthropomorphic lionesses, they would probably look like them - the natural aesthetic, the facial expressions that are still typical of lions, a touch of arrogance, a good portion of superiority. Even as a cheetah I have to admit, they are just gorgeous.
But I admit as well: I'm missing one thing. Although I'm into females, I would still like to know whether Walter finished his job and whether Sinh was able to get his release before the feast.

Thank you for your well-spoken compliments. Walter indeed finished--though he's always ready to go again. Sinh had plenty of fun but he probably didn't get his release before the feast. He's fine with waiting three days. When I release the print version of this comic, I'm going to add an extended epilogue--just 2 or 3 pages-- to show what happened with Mr. Hawthorne returns. Maybe...maybe Sinh will get some relief then. Maybe.
Excellent work. The time you took with it really shows. I'll definitely be picking up the hardcopy.
Thank you. That means a great deal to me coming from you. I am honored.
Truly fantastic in every facet of the composition. This "from life" style of illustration is what drew me to watch your work all those years ago and your pieces continue to dazzle and amaze. I can't wait to see what you do next!
Thank you! I am quite glad you enjoyed it and hope you'll find the next story just as interesting. I've been making good progress with it.
I think I've read your stuff before, but it was years ago, and... that particular comic got way too dark for me. Might've tried to read the second chapter, but... just wasn't for me. Even in my 40's, I'm still a sensitive soul, even if I've got a thicker skin now. And I gotta be careful what kind of media I consume lest it leave me sick at heart.
Makes me glad how this ended. Don't think I'm really into snuff stuff, especially if I get to know the characters first. If they're a person to me, even just a fictional one, then their death can affect me. Especially if it's a gruesome one. Yes, even if they maybe kinda deserve it. Just too much for me, I guess.
Don't think I'd like to be in Hawthorne's hooves for many various reasons, but if I ever get married, I hope my wife is okay with taking charge in the bedroom now and then. Being submissive can be a load off of one's mind. Even being a "service top" is pretty appealing to me. But none of that really matters if I can't find a partner to share my life with.
Not a bad story though. Glad he made it out alive; it could've easily gone the wrong way. And the USA was not a superpower at the time this was set in, so I doubt we would've sent the Marines. =P Guy went abroad and disappeared in a foreign country? Must've ticked someone off he shouldn't have. No reason to send any troops; we've got other troubles at home.

Thank you for your well thought out comments.
I understand not being able to get in my old comic, SLOP. I was in a very different place in my life when I started it and eventually I just couldn't continue it. I learned so much in the creation of it and it was a positive experience overall. It was mighty dark, though.
Nandavanam House and SLOP are the same basic universe but Nandavanam House is never going to be so dark as SLOP. So you need not worry about that. I make no promises about the death of any characters, but the main ones are pretty safe. :)
I hope you find the partner of your dreams. There are good people out there.

I must say, I really enjoyed that. The tension was palpable, and I really was unsure how things would play out.
Big kudos for a fun story.

Thank you. The next story is currently being drawn. I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wasn't sure I could even draw a comic anymore.
You definitely could. And while I don't follow people as close as I did in the past, this made me come back to look for more. Once again, great job. :)
Was brought here by PriscillaSheep's art of Sudarsini. This was a very delightful read. I really don't do well with gorey stuff so I thought Aransas was done for. Didn't expect the twist!
The characters have very interesting dynamics and you have a very nice way of writing each of their dialogue. It's not difficult for me to imagine what they sound like! Your art is very good too. I look forward to see how the story continues.

Thank you so much for your praise. A lot of people, especially those who know me from the webcomic I did 12 years ago, were expecting something gorey. The only blood is on the nearly raw nilgai chunks at the end. :)
I'm 2/3 of the way done drawing the next story. As for imagining what they sound like, Sudarsini, in my head sounds like Iranian Actress Shohreh Aghdashloo.

They're eating food that is normal for them in a way that's normal for them.
The lions and the bear are eating with their fingers, as is the custom in Gujarat at the time.
The deer is eating with a knife and fork he brought on the journey.

Hope you will enjoy that too.

OH wow. I so envy the ability to do that many pages in so short a period of time....Something I just no longer seem to be able to do.
I still have to color all those pages. And lately, life has been destroying my focus.
I had been drawing a page a week but that's slowed down.
I'm hoping to finish this up before the end of year but not sure I'll make that goal now.
