The "field guide" version of Ygra, for the latest "Bloomburrow" set of Magic the Gathering!
This was painted in acrylics on paper that I stained/weathered myself using tea and coffee. Very fun to do! I was absolutely blown away by the standard illustration for Ygra (done by Chris Rahn) so I was nervous about doing her justice in my own rendition, but I'm pretty happy with how she came out in the end!

When this card was spoiled a friend linked it and was like "Hey look it's you" because I am also a cat that eats everything. Great illustration.
A tip I heard for staining paper: it seems that soy sauce is particularly brilliant for the task.

Great art! So the implication is, Ygra as personification of predation does not literally swallow everything it sees, living things are "digested" in its mere presence, is that what was given in the art prompt?
