Unlike Riley’s Ennui, who serves to protect Riley from appearing weak or vulnerable, Bucky’s Ennui serves to help him realize when he has no interest in a particular situation so that he can instead utilize his time doing preferable activities he actually enjoys. Ennui often works with Nostalgia because when Bucky is stuck doing something utterly boring, he will often reminisce about better times to help cope with the situation.
