Whenever I'm in Sweden (which used to be more often when I lived with my parents) I tend to draw Draconians since it's where I originally came up with them as a kid (my own kingdom with dinosaur/dragon people...)
I'm never quite certain what time period or tech level I wanna give this setting, though I generally prefer without gunpowder. But "fantasy" is a damn broad term. So I'm mostly searching for looks that don't feel asynchronous.
If I could decide what social structure and role in general society Draconians had it would certainly help as well. I'm constantly fluctuating between tribal, mostly isolated and medieval knights often used as guards.
Although I've decided there's at least one off-shoot/sub-species? that lives in jungle tribe structures and has spines instead of those "ears". I like the idea of a species much like ours that has different branches exist at different technological levels.
