Felix Mienshao's story is a mix of resilience, struggle, and how love and support can change someone drastically. As a wild Mienfoo, his heart brimmed with curiosity and a passion for crafting, showing his natural creativity and gentle spirit. However, his capture by a cruel Grunt of an evil organization marked a harsh turning point, as he was forced to learn how to fight alongside five other Pokémon, who seemed fully fine with this.

The Grunt had worked hard to train Mienfoo and the other five Pokémon in his team to evolve them—-and decided it’d be a wonderful idea to feed them all many, many rare candies, being forced to eat them to make them evolve quickly—so that they could perform nefarious deeds easier. Felix resisted evolving despite eating over 50 candies, which enraged the Grunt. The other Pokémon evolved, but Felix's defiance led to severe mistreatment.
