Acrylic on toned paper
Not my usual furry art, not my usual 'I am doing something I think will sell well' piece...just something that came to me while watching a TV show featuring Baba Yaga and her chicken-footed hut.
It tickled me, so I had to paint it.
I spent so much time on something that amuses me, but sometimes ya gotta just do something for your own amusement. (I will mat it and put a high price on it for all the work involved, but it won't sell. That's okay...it will then be mine!)
And it helps me get better at painting...so win-win.

This is him (he's a rooster) as a young fellow. I'm sure he will grow up to be a fine mansion!
I remember a Fairy Tale book I read growing up said that Baba Yaga's house could not be entered unless it was facing away from the forest.
So you had to stomp your foot and command it to turn its face to you.
So, knowing this, and following off of what ealadubh said up there... Imagine how bad it would be for the outside toilet to be facing the woods and it's an emergency. :P

The not for sale clause. As Kelly Freas told me, if you don't want to sell it, never put a price on it. His example was a piece he did not want to sell but the guy kept pestering him. He finally said $10,000.00. The dude pulled a roll of bills out of his pocket and countered out. Left Kelly standing their with a wad of money, no painting, and a stupid look.
Oh, I would be happy to sell it at a suitably high price! (I just don’t think that will happen, so I am making sure I am not disappointed!)
This has a little bit of a Howl's Moving Castle aura lol I can't explain it
This is so cool! I love the way this came out, and yes you absolutely have to make things that are just for you, sometimes! (I'd argue most times, really!) Fun is an important thing to have c:
And hey, if it doesn't sell to the furry crowd, it definitely looks like something you could offer to a more "normie" art crowd at a gallery or pop-up show! Your average piece at those starts at $300 and it's nothing abnormal, so if that's where you're wanting to start on price point, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary!
