i thought i were the only one. i used to lay on the terrace in summer when it starts to rain.

loved the earthy smell.

Duuude this is one of my favorite things to do.

I was gardening last month and I was almost at the end of it when it starts downpouring. Determined, I wanted to finish it up regardless but since my garden is on an incline, I started slipping down the hill. Already drenched, I decided to stay out and clean up, get most of my tools put away.
But it was so lovely. The sensations of water all over, not caring about soaked clothes or running for cover to get away from it. And its like you've got the world almost to yourself for a while as everyone else runs indoors.

I also like to go on walk and splash in the puddles and sing. If I ever have kids, I'd love to do this together sometime. Go let them get muddy, splash in puddles, learn all the lessons you learn about gravity and how the physical world works around you when you're at the age where that's all that matters.

Rain walks are also really good for having an important talk or working through problems. There's something phycological about it that I can't put my finger on.

There's something beautiful about finding joy in something harmless that many seek to avoid.

It is also fun to do this during a sunshower so you get rain and sun simultaneously

I would do this as a kid, especially if the rain was particularly heavy. I'd also lay in the run off pouring down the street lol. Not a very smart, or clean, thing to do, but I was a stupid kid lol. And then when I was done with that, I'd stand in the water of our rain gutter and shower off lol

Dude YES. My brother and I used to go swim in the small "lake" that formed on our street lol in a particularly heavy rain. In hindsight, disgusting; in the moment, magical.
