I'm glad you enjoyed this; I'm slowly working on growing my abilities overall as I want to build on how I do things in general, from sketches to even illustrations. I have followed you for a gosh darn long time and oh my goodness this is so different from the work I regularly see from you. I think this just might be one of my favourite pieces ever from you. Breathtaking details for a sketch.
I'm working on steadily going a different direction with my art and I wanted to fall back in love with sketching, and slowly let it bleed through my processes which I feel of late have been quite the invigoration I've been wanting. I'm honored you like it though, it means a lot. And I wanted to make options for peeps of various budgets to enjoy. I'm still glad you like it though, I'm slowly working on how I do my pipeline but it's been fun sort of ripping up the roots and starting over.

Like a true dragon he looks like a total unit... But still I cannot miss the detail how gentle he holds the gem and how genuinely surprised his face is

This comment meant a lot to me, because I've been working hard on getting better with expressions but keeping the sort of "wildness" in the various beings I depict. And I'm glad you think I still managed to convey a handsomeness to the character as they are indeed a good looking emerald derg. But he found his emerald and that's the best part, more to add to his hoard :D
