Well it's been almost 9 months, so time at last for another update! Why did it take so long? Just look how complicated this is getting. Needed time to figure out how to expand it more XD
Wasn't expecting to manage to maintain the same format, but just increasing the size to create more space did the trick. Granted it's reaching a point where you need to open it and zoom in to get all the details ^^;
New Additions :
New characters has been an interesting topic in this span of time. I had one added to the Kriggleverse group and three more added to the Trainerverse group, but over here in the Ynaaverse there's quite a-few in various stages of development.
*Completed*
- NOODL: For a long while I've wanted to add a Digimon to my cast, so here at last is NOODL the Kudamon added to the diagram! She's the shipboard AI in charge of most of the software side of things on Axelia's starship and Axelia accidentally made her a fully realized independent intelligence by accidentally removing several locks in place to prevent such a thing from happening while trying to change the music on her alarm clock. Ynaa recognized what happened during a visit with Axelia and (after confirming NOODL wouldn't do anything rash) offered her a physical body. NOODL asked for one made of some sort of special space-rubber since it would be more durable than something biological and now she can be a physical presence in the world.
*WiPs*
- Ancient Imp: A very recent addition that came up from catching up on Helluva Boss and, won't deny, I really like the character of Millie. Got me thinking about potentially having some sort of imp-like character of short stature and almost bouncy personality and that led to this character who's sort-of a mix of imp-ish/Draenei-ish/Worgen-ish. Thinking she's the last of that ancient and vague "threat" that Iridalea took care of in the waaaaaay distant past of the Ynaaverse. Unlike the rest of her kind, she wasn't really all that interested in the whole invade/conquer/corrupt/etc plan and embraced her desires to be a super friendly and curious person. Also chose to take on elements of Iridalea's appearance so as to look more friendly and personable.
- Avy's Sister: The long lost sister of Avy. They were accidentally separated when they were very young and where Avy became a-bit of a delinquent and was eventually adopted by Kyth, her sister was adopted into Ame's family. Being a Sneasler, Avy's sister ended up being very tall and is part of why Ame developed a desire to be tall. Wanting to be like her adopted older sister. Have had some thoughts that she's extra super hyper tall and that maybe Ame accidentally makes her taller thanks to her budding Deityhood, but that part is admittedly still a WiP. Big things are needing a name and to actually do her design.
- Former Goddess of Innovation: A Walking Wake very nearly as ancient as Iridalea herself and who used to the Goddess of Innovation but eventually retired and decided to spend time wandering the universe and enjoying the innovativeness of all the younger races. Has happily watched Ynaa take over as the new Goddess of Innovation and become so much more, but that's also made her want to come out of retirement and happening across a Shard is unlocking new strength and abilities in her. Sort-of a friendly rival of Ynaa's and the two have fairly frequent "innovation fights" to see who can be more innovative.
- Tethkith: I've been on a-bit of a Halo kick with going through the many books and of course my brain went to "I wonder if I can make a character out of one of the Halo species..." So here's Tethkith the Kig-Yar (yes the 'kith' part is just for fun because it sounds like 'Kyth') who's a scavenger and salvager who frequently sells to Axelia. Even the one who found the Shard that now powers Axelia's multi-tool. Current thinking is that that brief proximity to the Shard gave her some limited multimanifestation ability that she uses to great effect in her salvaging efforts.
- Skögul's Dad: A short beefy Ninetales or Mightyena (haven't decided yet) powerhouse. Amusingly was an idea that came to mind while watching DBZA where they had 18 refer to Krillin as a shortstack. Which is technically true since he's short, but a stack of muscle. And so... Now I can't but help of the two of them being like Krillin and 18 XD Also thinking that he used to be a purely bookish sort and still is, but now he's a bookish guy with glasses and built like a truck.
- Skögul's Mom: A tall, slightly more than athletic Mightyena woman with 5 tails with a coat flecked with silver in the black and grey fur. Exudes confidence and has a mischievous air about her.
New Relations & Updates:
- Ynaa has moved out of the Deity Tier and into her own Tier. This has technically been the case for a good long while, but up until now she showed up in the diagram at the same Tier as Kthaarae, Kyth, and Iridalea.
- Lyn has moved up to the Demideity Tier as she's on her way to becoming the Goddess of Time for the Ynaaverse. She's still very new to it, but Viktoria's been working to prepare her for this through being her apprentice for some time now.
- Also gave Lyn links to Benock and Skögul
- The link to Benock says "Dating (at Skögul's encouragement)" because they are now dating. Amusingly I had originally been thinking that the new Ancient Imp gal would be headed towards Benock, but that plan started falling off and then Lyn slid in as I've been working on new refs for Lyn and updates to her. Realized there was an easy way for the two to meet and could also easily see Benock falling for her and could also see Skögul encouraging the two and having fun teasing them both ^^;
- The link to Skögul refers to how Skögul now assists Lyn from time to time with her Demideity duties since sometimes Lyn's growing from exposure to too much light and/or liquids could make her tasks extremely difficult or impossible (Think delivering a star to the center of a nebula. Lyn would have lots of trouble with that without outgrowing the nebula in the process).
- Also also removed the link between Lyn and Rivenae as originally I was thinking maybe they'd be cousins, but never really felt like it fit.
- Avy's sister is linked to Avy and Ame because of the fact that she's Avy's long lost biological sister and also Ame's adopted sister. Also why she has the red line going to Avy and the green to Ame
- Tethkith and Axelia are linked because of how frequently the two interact where Tethkith sells Axelia lots of interesting finds. May get links to NOODL and the retired Walking Wake goddess eventually
- Former Goddess of Innovation linked to the "Ancient Acquaintences" group of Demideities since she's been around a LONG time. Also that link to Ynaa because they've both been Goddesses of Innovation in their time and have a-bit of a friendly rivalry going to out-innovate the other.
- Skögul's parents are only linked to her currently, but I'm leaving open the possibility that they may have links to other members of the cast at some point.
- Updated the link between Claudia and Kyth to say they are instead old business partners. A-bit of an update to Claudia has been that she used to run a small conglomerate of independent jewelers to help them with dealings with large scale orders and more business-like clients.
- Didn't mention last time, but the family names associated with each colored line are...
- Green : Stege
- Red : Soomtawe
- Purple : Moore
- Yellow : Helmonna
- Light Blue : Arnaion
- Pink : Lin
- There should also be one around Ynaa, Laalouche, and Verdena to represent the Tharae family, but that'd just make things even more complicated XD
Future Thoughts :
I'm actually surprised I managed to continue to use the same format for the diagram. Things are out of necessity smaller and more separated, but still legible. I felt like splitting the diagram out into multiple separate ones would honestly kind-of lose part of what makes this overall view so useful, so I'm glad I managed to get it to work ^^
As I get the uncompleted characters completed, I think I'll just reupload the diagram here rather than make a whole new post since the only changes really would be a portrait rather than a question mark and/or a name.
I've also remembered I do have that old "Power Levels" diagram to give an idea of how each character compares largely in terms of how large they can get under their own power, so I might return and give that an update too. And then there's another diagram I created a-while back focused solely on the family groups, so I might actually post that at some point too.
Mortals are just what they sound like and have a maximum height of around 50 feet. While Ame is still technically mortal, she's unknowingly growing stronger over time thanks to her link and close relationship with Kyra, so in the end there's really only two in there.
- Ame (for now)
- Avy's Sister
- Axelia (able to temporarily achieve Demideity tier scales of size and power, but only by using the Shard implanted in her tool)
- Benock
- Benna
- Morvala
- Nichaalas
- NOODL
- Proteanne
- Rhea
- Skögul (even though she's able to temporarily achieve sizes and levels of power comparable to the Demideity tier)
- Skögul's Dad
- Skögul's Mom
- Tethkith
- Yaddle
Nephilim I was looking for another word to describe the macros that are between that 50 foot to mountainous range and wanted to try for something a-bit different and remembered that the Nephilim were beings or people described as large and strong and loosely translated as giants in some translations. There's a-lot more on the subject, but long and short of it is that Nephilim rather nicely covers this spot of extremely large and powerful individuals who are, despite that size and power, not actually divine.
- Argenvira
- Avy
- Claudia
- Lut
- Puszeky
- Rivenae
- Rowanne
- Vilanna
Demideities are those who are sort-of a lower level of divinity. Extremely large and powerful to the point that they are considered divine and either represent or held sway over a certain domain or concept. They may be referred to as "Goddess of Stuff" but they are not full blown goddesses without limits.
- Unnamed Former Goddess of Innovation
- Jut, Goddess of Ebb and Flows
- Laalouche, the Undecided Deity
- Lahr, God of All Trades
- Lyn, Goddess of Time
- Niikalei, Goddess of Alchemy
- Olsea, Head of Divine OSHA
- Quirinalis, Goddess of Security, Duty, and Irony
- Trorse, Goddess of Chaos/Variability/Change/Mischief (on Tuesdays)/Great Ass (her words)
- Verdena, the Anomaly (still debating)
- Viktoria, Goddess of Order
Goddesses(Deities) are those who are technically at the highest tier of divinity in my cast, but are still limited. Whether that limit is self-imposed or something that they need to overcome, it is something that holds them back. For example, Kyth is trying to hold back her steadily increasing power because it makes it harder and harder to stay small. Kthaarae is focused on trying to get below her base size. Kyra just doesn't want to be a goddess. Also befitting their higher stature and greater power, they either have larer or more domains than the Demigoddesses
- Iridalea, Goddess of Defiant Fates, Determination, and Triumph
- Kthaarae, Goddess of Caution, Conscientiousness, and Failure
- Kyra, Goddess ofredacted (she doesn't want anyone to know)
- Kyth, Goddess of HUGS
The Boundless is just Ynaa. Whereas the other Goddesses have largely self-imposed limits on what they can do and become, Ynaa recognizes that she actually doesn't have any limits and is constantly pushing herself further and harder. Learning more. Becoming more. As appropriate for the embodiment of Ambition and Innovation. But even as she becomes more and multimanifests to absurd degrees, she still clings to who she is. Clings to always remaining the same Ynaa she always has been. Just more now.
Finally while I haven't decided a truly finalize name yet, a recent development is that Skögul may now be a new Tier of her own like Ynaa is "The Boundless". Skögul is a mortal with ability and strength and size to match any Demideity and has the potential in her to continue pushing herself to where the only one who is larger and more powerful than her is Ynaa. Thinking "Potential Incarnate" as a possible name...
