Character Inspiration Meme ~ Kai
Did the character inspiration meme for my fursona/oc Kai and here's a little break drown of inspirations that went into him 😊
Characters that inspire/continue to inspire my OC
• Morticia Addams © The Addams Family - The whole concept of her being dark in look but super sweet and gentle. I definitely relate to Morticia and always did more so than Wednesday (no hate). So she's like the backdrop of what I envision with Kai.
• Death © Sandman - Pretty much the same reason as Morticia Addams embodying the whole dark but sweet/friendly demeanor that I relate with, only with Death, it's with the whole design inspired by the goth subculture which is something I heavily relate with being into the goth scene myself and that I put into the character.
• Myself - Considering that he's my fursona, it's pretty much a given that I'd put a little bit of myself into him lol.
• Yuna © Final Fantasy Series - Mainly her demeanor in X-2 where while she's still sweet and compassionate, she's a lot more laidback and can even be silly at times. It's funny because while I do also relate with the "gothic" coded characters like Lulu and Paine, I couldn't deny that I also found Yuna in X-2 very relatable and I wanted to include that kind of quality into Kai.
• Raven © Teen Titans/DC - The whole dark but misunderstood with a soft-heart underneath it all.
• Haku © Naruto - His sweet personality but how he also can be ready for action as well as he can fight. There's also just the basis of him being a feminine presenting male character played straight. He was one of the first prominent examples of a gender nonconforming male character who was taken seriously that I had ever seen when I was younger and he really left an impact on me and I applied this to Kai.
