I think for sure rings have a bigger history than Scylla said and she wasn't only owner after the first one that had a tragic end
Such things are like a Sauron's ring - it always has owner and moves from person to person one way or another
Still you kinda showed interesting emotion and tint here - curiousity. And as we know curiosity killed a cat... Hopefully Coalt will be a bit more careful though he has some willpower to resist temptation. But who knows what a critical situation can do with his mind or with his decisions?

Yeah, I'd like to think as Wrathbringer's ring as similar as the one in LoTR. It changes from person to person. It breeds temptation through power. Except the origins of this is still relatively unknown. And people only know a fraction of it's capabilites from all the deaths of its previous owners.

I'm surprised that in addition to maintaining this thing he is also taking care of it XD
