Nice her world is wide open so the view from ship must be something. When you think about it you could claim your own continent or land with how massive it is. Best part who's gonna say anything to you about claiming territory or land
Except the backstory has established there's like only one piece of continent slash bit of land left. It's been a while so it's easy to forget the consuming white void.
Oh no, the remaining world is huge. The original planet was like four times the size of Earth.
So it was pretty much a Super Earth before the Vitrin Orb tore it apart?
Somewhere between a Super Earth and a Gas Dwarf/Mini-Neptune originally. I imagine it's now a moon or a dwarf planet in size.
Assuming you can find a land that isn't already inhabited - there might not be much of that.
Otherwise, well, the people who live there would probably take issue with some foreigner walking in and declaring themselves king.

Respectfully when you think about it. even if it's inhabited it's not like they'd be much of a problem for you especially if your a foreigner to travel universe's takes power and planing but you might as well take some tech or gear with you to considering at that point you don't have any laws of science or boundaries that are going to stop you at that point.
Left the cult? Uhm... Guess Fen now have more questions... Oh well, they got some time to kill and Danger Owl doesn't kill time that way anyway...
Hmmm im curious. Not a captain or anything but dont believe in a general rule to quote un quote lock the helm. Cus thats like leaving the pilot seat with no auto pilot right?
Also i love flying, it is the most fun moments and makes it feel free. Flying and helping out just sweetens the deal. Plus im getting paid atleast XD ..............only when the boss wants too that is. sorry boss

Long as you know there's nothing to crash into ahead of you, locking the helm is fine.
well true but we are flying below mountain level. I advise more height boss XD. anyway love the comic. Still excited to see where the adventures go. And thank you
All I can hear watching them lock the controls while below the ridgeline like that is, "Altitude! Altitude! Pull up!" *WHOOP WHOOP*
And severe weather can't push the boat's course left or right, maybe nose up or down? Or is this method of flight somehow resistant to that because superscience magic?
Because most of those would be inauspicious, and the term 'locked helm' implies it can't correct for outside influences to maintain it's course, just locking the controls in a fixed position. Tho I suppose it could be her shorthand for a more capable autopilot hooked up to sensors that can measure it's position to monitor and correct it's course?
Or maybe she's about to discover why such an autopilot might be a good idea - or atleast backup controls somewhere more protected and kitted out for instrument flying. π

Even with an autopilot, you still want someone monitoring what's going on. If only just to catch the inevitable failure of the autopilot.
Sorry to be a grammar nit-picker, but unsure if anyone had mentioned it: The word in the first panel is "Batten". Batton used to be the way it was spelled, but that version of the word was phased out in the 19th century.
Normally I'd leave that sort of thing be, but I figured this might end up in print format someday so you may want the audience playing "spot the whoopsie"?

Consider: What time period is this set in? :p
I did indeed consider that, but then it looked incongruous next to all of the modern vernacular in the same sentence, so I figured I'd at least mention it in case it was a thing that you wanted flagged. No disrespect intended, I do like your work. :)
"nobody before us have ever had this viewpoint you know?"
"what about the draakin?"
"they aren't people"

I wonder just how much Shal knows about when compared to Mis and what is kept by Lars?
With Storm showing up in the story, That's Two Draakin that Fen has meet in current times, as far as we know. But with how Mis described them, something seems really off about our current two examples.
Then I guess there is Fen herself. While also powerful as those other two, she certainly doesn't sound like she has passed life experiences. I wonder if something cut the Draakin off from the PATH?
