Starguide of the Shifting Sands is a title but as his people do not have names it becomes what he is called by. An earned one rather than granted as the peddler was one of the few that could safely cross the dangerous desert reliably. Dunes blown by the wind scored the landscapes making it easy to become lost to even the experienced. Watering holes that might be there one trip covered in sand hundreds of feet deep the next. Using the stamina of a pack beast, preparation through experience, and just the wits to handle the changing situation to get through. Each trip unique.

So being caught by a sudden sandstorm is hardly new, a small jutting rock made into emergency shelter to weather out the worst of it. Mind chewing at adapting the route to the shifting sands.
