Dr Emily Darling is one of the junior doctors at City of Hearts, having just completed her second year of foundation training -though she has yet to choose an area to specialise in. Whilst she is a very capable and professional physician, she tends to spend her free time in her own company, or with her small circle of close friends. Although fairly introverted, she has a tender and caring personality for those around her.

Darling? Is this a 101 Dalmatians reference? In some 101 Dalmatians, Anita's maiden name is Darling.
Oh, nice! I didn't know this, but I can tell you that Emily was inspired by Delilah from 101 Dalmatian Street ^^ <3
I've only seen pieces of that cartoon. I remember something about the mother dalmatian being a "nurse dog", I always interpreted it as a therapy dog.
I do quite like it, but I have to agree; therapy dog seems more aligned with real life XD <3
Dalmatian therapy dogs make me think of this children's picture book by Julia Donaldson about a Dalmatian called Dot who's a therapy dog in a children's hospital in the UK or Australia.
