Unfortunately, Adventures is actually canon to the series so just get used to it!
Nintendo being cowards not knowing what to do with Krystal. Until giga chad Sakurai puts her in Smash Ultimate in her Adventures outfit. It's also the only time in the franchise we see Krystal actually use her staff.
