People who've known me for ages know that I wrote a story more than a decade ago about people getting watches that turned them into obese pokemon, and how that made them closer to those pokemon. Those were so long ago that I released them before smart phones were in use by anyone I knew. I still like the idea of humans having secret lives as fatty pokemon, and how it effects their dynamic. So here we are.
This story features a human turning into a fat Grovyle, and how it causes a bit of role reversal in who's in charge of the team. The formatting is way better in the pdf version
This was edited by the very wonderful Choice_D and AgentofEmpathy
“Gary!” The voice cried from behind the counter. It was shrill and sharp, in contrast to the dull murmur of the crowd all around them. The voice repeated. “Gary! Order 253!”
Garret was a bit distracted, checking his phone. The young man was scrolling through posts with a distant look on his yellow eyes. It was obvious he wasn’t paying much attention to what was going on around him. “Char!” A deep gruff voice yelled from across the table.
“Wha?!” The human said, his body jolting a bit from his pokemon’s voice.
“Order 253!” The employee yelled out again.
“Oh that’s us!” He said while turning to stand up from the bench. The young man was dressed very casually, with blue jeans and a deep “Castelia Baseball” Ariados logo shirt. He got up, easily a few inches taller than the crowd around him. Soon he was clumsily navigating the crowd, assisted by his thin frame.
The charmeleon sighed a bit, looking over toward the croconaw sharing the bench with him. “Good thing we were here, otherwise he’d have starved before looking up.” He crossed his arms as he leaned up against the gator next to him.
The water typed just wrapped an arm around him, pulling him into a tight sideways hug. “If it hadn’t been for you, we wouldn’t have even gotten out to the mall. I swear ever since he started working from home we never really go anywhere.”
The charmeleon sighed as he gave his lover a quick kiss on the cheek. “Yeah, I had to wave the sales flier in front of his face for a solid minute before he got the clue we should come here in person.”
“Well hopefully we can get some battling in today. Plenty of other trainers around.” The Croconaw said, nuzzling him back. “We’ve had a good record the past couple of weeks.”
It wasn’t long before Gary was back holding a tray of food. “Okay, low mein extra hot for Coal, sweet and sour for Snap.” He handed them both out, keeping the fried rice for himself. “Man, this place is crowded today. Can’t wait to get that jacket and get out.” His pokemon eagerly dug into their portions. Gary was always impressed that his Charmeleon managed to use a pair of chopsticks better than he could.
He had come here to replace an old worn out windbreaker. Naturally he was going to buy one online, but his charmeleon had picked up the junk mail and had kept waving a sales notice in front of him. He couldn’t really figure out why though his pokemon had been so eager to go to a mall though. As he looked around at the teams of people and their pokemon, it made him impatient to get back home.
His eyes couldn’t help but look at his two scaly pokemon as he absentmindedly took a bite of his own food. The two were still snuggling as they ate. It had been a bit of a shock when he found out his two very male pokemon had a… thing for each other. But he quickly got over it. Whatever made his two best friends happy made him happy. They also had very adorable smiles on both of the toothy maws as they dug into their meals. Maybe he should take them both out to eat more? A quick look at their bellies convinced him otherwise. They were both looking a little round. He needed to get them some exercise, or at least, not cave in every time Coal asked for desert.
It didn’t take long for them to finish up their meal, as his two scaly partners could eat way faster than he could. His last few bites were always paired with the sight of Coal rubbing Snap’s belly. “Okay, I’ll clear out the table,” leaving the two lovebirds to enjoy their post meal cuddling.
After cleaning up the trio were navigating the crowd. His charmeleon was taking the lead, finding a clear path for all three of them to walk through. Gary was taking up the back spot of the team, looking side to side a bit aimlessly while following his pokemon. He barely even noticed getting on the escalator rising out of the food court. The open air above the crowd came as a bit of a relief to him before exiting to the store front.
D&O was a pretty cheap midrange store, the sort of place that had plenty of sales. He’d gotten at least a third of his wardrobe from here. His eyes were drawn instantly to a black and red light windbreaker. “Perfect…” He muttered under his breath, not even noticing his two pokemon had wandered a bit. He just started flipping through the hangers looking through the sizes. “Great, Medium…” He looked up and spotted a store attendant.
She was over at the next display folding some shirts and putting them back in place, though Garret paused a second looking at her. She was a bit under his height, but the store khaki and tight jeans she was wearing really caught his eye. She was maybe a year or two younger than him? She didn’t have a pokeball on her waist… maybe he could hit it off by showing her his pokemon? Then he snapped himself out of it. ‘Don’t flirt with a cute girl while she's working.’ He started walking over to her, only to feel a strong tug in the opposite direction.
“Meleon!” He heard from his partner. He turned and saw him pointing to someone else. It was a chubby guy his own age also in a store outfit. “Hu.. what?” His startled mind took a second to register what was going on. Charmeleon was pointing him towards a different store attendant.
“Uh… Thanks Coal…” He said, turning around to follow his pokemon’s lead. ‘Might as well go with his suggestion.’ The trainer didn’t notice that the fire pokemon had a very proud smile coating his muzzle.
This clerk was more his age, in the same blue jeans and collared navy shirt as the rest of the staff, though his curves were in a different place. Garret’s mind shifted off the chubby employee and darted towards the fat pokemon standing next to him. Standing beside the clerk was a Hakamo-o, though one that must be twice the normal weight for one. He had a fat belly hanging down to his knees, that flowed with a taught curve down from his powerful chest. They were topped by a firm set of pecs that pushed up some very round and flabby arms. The sharp angles he’d normally associate with the scaly pokemon’s face were all softened and rounded by fat. It took all the edge and ferocity out of his face, and made him look much more jovial. His second chin even partially obscured the golden bangles on his neck.
The obese pokemon still stood proudly though. He was standing tall, tail proudly raised in the air. It even wagged it quickly and confidently, the round base of the jail jiggling a bit from the motion. Overall, the pokemon gave off an air of confidence and strength. He wasn’t just flabby. His tight rounded arms, thighs, and gut betrayed some muscle underneath. The dragon just radiated strength.
“Haka!” It said, getting his own human to notice the trio in front of them. The employee didn’t have any of the muscle or power that his pokemon companion did. His chubby body just made him look a bit out of shape. His shirt and pants looked a little tight on him, but nothing more. In fact he was downright plain next to the eye-catching pokemon next to him.
“Oh hello, can I help you with anything?”
“Yeah, I wanted to buy this?” Gary’s voice gave off that he was a bit eager to get moving.
“Um, are you sure?” He said looking over Gary's frame. “Those sleeves are going to be a few inches too short for you.”
“Oh,’ He held out the sleeves of the jacket, verifying that indeed, he’d messed up. “Ugh, thank you. You’re right.”
“Well here, I’ll put it back and get you something in your size, Mr…” He said making eye contact.
Gary picked up on the hint. “Garret, but you can call me Gary.”
“Gary it is then. You and your pokemon can wait here, I’ll pick out something for you.”
“Oh thank you,” Was all he could say before instinctively pulling out his phone. He was checking his email robotically without even thinking about it, barely even noticing his pokemon were striking up a conversation below him.
“Listen, I'll need to see it in action.” Snap said while Coal nodded.
“Yeah, if you’re saying you can hit that much harder, I want proof that all that flab isn’t slowing you down.” Coal responded.
“Trust me.” The Dragon pokemon reached down with his flabby arms, lifting his fat tummy up a bit. “You won’t be able to dodge a body slam from me.”
“Well then I’ll get my trainer to battle yours.” Coal gave a confident smile, closing his eyes to play up how confident he was. This confident pose was ruined a bit by the croc next to him nuzzling him on the cheek. “Hey Snap! Come on… I was trying to look cool.”
“I can’t stand it, you’re too cute when you make that face.” He gave a low chuckle before stopping.
“Your trainer seems eager to get out of here, think he’ll stop for a battle?” The obese hakamo-o looked up at the human currently scrolling through his phone.
“Oh don’t worry, he’ll listen to me.” The charmeleon said with a confident smile.
“Here you go.” Gary looked up from his phone, seeing that the clerk had come back with a bright green windbreaker. “This is more your fit, and green is more your color.”
That made him look up from his phone. “What?” He’d never been told he had a color before, so he didn’t really feel the need to disagree but it still made him curious. “Um sure but what makes you say that?”
“Oh I have a sixth sense for things like this. Are you looking for anything else?”
“Hak o Hak!” The store attendant looked down at his pokemon before smiling. Gary recognized the look of a trainer who clearly understood his pokemon.
“Uh, no, I really just needed that. That’s still on sale right?”
“Oh yes.” He turned, leading their group over to a cash register. “Oh, it seems my big friend wants to show off to your partners there.” As he turned around behind the counter, he made eye contact with Gary. “Care for a battle after we’re done?”
Gary looked a bit surprised at that. He gave the dragon a quick glance. His obese body was still jiggling slightly from their walk over. The poor fat pokemon seemed like he was stuck in a wide waddle from his gut pushing his fat thighs apart. “Are you sure? I mean, your pokemon seems really out of shape. We’re not ace battlers but I don't...”
The clerk cut him off without looking up from his work. “Oh don’t worry about his weight. Dozer here is a tough battler.” His sentence was emphasized by the pokemon smugly crossing his flabby arms over his belly.
“Well I kind of want to get go-” He was cut off by a blast of heat from below his waist. His charmander was smiling up at him, maw open having just made a small ember. An eager looking Croconaw was standing with his arms wide, posing like he was getting ready to tackle something. They were both itching for a battle. He didn’t even consciously change his mind. “Yeah, when are you free?”
“Oh right after I’m done ringing you up.” He smiled, “Insert your card there.”
Gary quickly paid. “You can take off just like that?”
“Oh yeah, I own this franchise. Name’s Mitch, by the way...”
A half hour later, they were surrounded by a small crowd in a battling field outside the mall. His Charmeleon had put up a good fight, but the Hakama-o stood on the other side triumphant. He had a big grin that just emphasized his flabby round face, and a wide powerful stance that showed off his gut.
Gary was busy helping his charmeleon up. He looked winded from the full body slam he’d just taken, but otherwise not worse for the ware. He started to reach for an emergency potion he kept clipped to his belt, only for Coal to meet his eyes with a quick shake of his head. Gary’s attention soon shifted to the other trainer.
“Good match. Something that fat should not be able to move so quickly.” He saw that Coal was walking over to Snap and his triumphant opponent. “You must have some training regiment.”
“Even if he loves to stuff himself, he gets me up every morning to weight train and do agility practice. He’s just as much muscle as he is fluff. Though I must admit,” Mitch replied while patting his own stomach, “His eating habits have started to rub off on me.”
Meanwhile, while a few feet to their side, three pokemon were having an excited conversation. “I wasn’t expecting you to be able to hit that hard.” Snap said, tail still wagging from the excitement of an intense battle.
“Well, I put all this mass behind every movement.” He flexed his bicep, but really just caused his flabby arm to bulge out slightly. “It took some practice but now every punch is a two hundred pounder.”
Coal didn’t need a reminder. That flabby golden paw had sent him flying when they landed a hit. “Well I know when I’m beat. And here I was thinking I’d be able to sink a fire fang into your fat ass.”
“Oh, you noticed.” The dragon turned and smacked his own rear end, he smiled slyly at the two of them as they both watched the shock way jiggle his entire frame. “And I’ve been noticing you there, gator boy.”
Snap blushed before leaning back into Coal. His own tubby tummy rubbed against the charmeleon’s warm scales. “Well it was hard not to take a look at you bouncing around.”
Coal chuckled, “Well come on, ya chubby croc, you’re almost up to half his size.” Coal reached around him, giving Snap a teasing hug from the side, but let his clawed hand rub the side of his belly curve.
“You ever think about putting on a few pounds?” Dozer asked, smiling at the couple. “You’re looking pretty tubby yourself there, Coal.”
“Me? Oh no.” He let his free hand rest on his rounded tummy. “I might have put on a few, but it’s just because we haven’t been doing much since my trainer got this new job.”
“Oh, well then you’re a natural gainer. You might look into it some. Looks good on you too.”
Charmeleon chuckled. He’d never met a pokemon so proud to be overweight before. “I don’t think it’s for me. I doubt our trainer would like us turning into lard balls either.”
The dragon gave them a sly sideways look. “Oh I doubt you need your human’s approval.”
Coal and Snap both looked a little confused by that statement. “What do you mean?”
“Your trainer's order practically followed your movement. You were already opening your maw before he called out flamethrower, and you had gotten into pose before he said slash. You were one step ahead of your trainer at almost every step.”
“Um, beg your pardon? We’re just really in sync!” Coal said, shooting him a strange look.
“Well if that’s the case then he’ll be on board as quickly as you are.. Though it never takes much to convince them anyway. My trainer took to me bulking up super well. We were closer than ever after we started glutting together. You two start stuffing your face and see what happens.”
Snap and Coal just looked at each other. It had been a while since the charmeleon had been beaten so badly, and the Mitch and Dozer seemed to work so well together. Maybe there was something to it.
The two humans were having a much more standard conversation. “Well I mean, I wouldn’t mind a rematch in the future. Yeah, I don’t see a problem with swapping contact info.” Gary said, pulling out his phone.
“Yeah, I get a feeling we’ll be seeing each other again soon.” Mitch said, looking down at his fat pokemon. Mitch was pulling out his phone, when the hakko-o next to him interjected.
“Hakka o o Hak!” Mitch looked down at him with a smile.
“Oh and uh, I think I should send you this pokemon workout app. It seems like your charmeleon wants a shot at my friend’s routine.”
“Oh, well, I’ll download it now.” He saw Coal next to him smile and nod at him. “I’ll take a look over it at home. You must be really close to your partner for you to understand something that detailed.” He always had a good read on what his pokemon were actually saying, but that was some expert communication skills he had just seen.
“Oh, we’re very close.”
Later that evening, the trio had been home for a while. Gary was in the kitchen throwing together their dinner. They had some leftovers he could make for a quick meal. He could see over his kitchen counter into the living room where his two pokemon were snuggled up with each other, watching a live match on the television.
It was always heartwarming to see his two best friends be so close to each other. It seemed they were almost always by each other's side. He noted that on occasion if he stole a quick glance he could catch one of them giving the other a kiss. The things they got up to when he wasn’t around he was sure he could guess. He’d never really felt comfortable going out in public. He’d only dated two girls, and neither relationship had really gone great.
Maybe if he got out more he could find someone… but while it was something he wanted, it never really felt right getting out into the dating pool.
He closed the oven door in front of him, feeling the heat wash over his skin. “Hey guys, 20 minutes.” It was hard not to envy them.
“Croc a Naw!” He heard in the distance.
“I can’t wait.” Snap said, nuzzling back into the charmeleon next to him. He was a smidge shorter, making it easy to get under the salamander's chin. “That nanab bake thing he made was delicious.” He looked up to see his lover’s attention was elsewhere. “Hey, where’s your mind babe?”
The fire type sighed. “Oh just thinking about what that wide load from earlier was talking about.” He tenderly licked the top of his muzzle. “Would you really say Gary acts like my pet?”
“Not really. He just…” The croc had to stop for a second to think. “needs a bit of direction to get motivated. You just have more energy than him.”
Coal smiled a bit. “Well, I do push him a bit, but he needs it. He’s been sitting around too much these days.”
“Not that I mind getting to spend more quality time with my fire lizard.” He leaned in, tightening their cuddle. “Though I wish Gary could be more of a part of it. He’s so out of energy it makes me feel bad for him.”
“Gary spends plenty of time with us.” Charmleon said, starting to stroke the Croconaw down his scaled hide.
“Well I meant, more like we spend time together.”
That made Coal’s eyes go wide. “What? Are you looking to have a make out session with a human?” Charmeleon said teasingly. “I knew you were into taller guys, but I didn’t know it went that far.”
“No not that.. I mean… We’re close. I just wish it was more like this. You know?” The air was beginning to be filled with the scent of spices heating up in the oven, making his crocodilian gut rumble a bit out of hunger. “It’s a shame he can’t share what we have.”
“You’re more than enough for me Snap.” Charmeleon kissed him on the top of his head, snout nuzzling against his head frill. “But hey I love him too, so yeah I get it.”
Gary sat down on the sofa. Each of his pokemon had a small tv tray in front of them that matched their height. He just sat his down on his lap. Lasagna was easy couch eating anyway. He often wondered what exactly his pokemon were saying when he overheard them talking. Being their trainer, he could get the gist of it. They were having a light teasing conversation, but he was curious if it was all sweet nothings, or they were talking about something more specific.
Though imagining a lovey dovey conversation between two deep gruff voiced lizards did give him a chuckle inside.
His pokemon were chowing down, and Gary was too, a sudden hunger gripping him. “Ugh, must have worked up an appetite putting up with that crowd at the mall…or the battle with that blubber ball.” The warm and heavy taste of cheese and meat flowing over his tongue couldn’t distract him from the battle.
They were watching a Dhelmise battle a Dragonite. The Dragonite was expertly dodging back and forth between quick shadow balls from the haunted anchor. He was instantly rooting for the tubby dragon. The grace that it flew with, the sun shining off its brightly colored scales was entrancing, and the battle focused look in its eyes demanded his attention.
It flew down and delivered a dragon claw attack, and Gary could see the powerful muscles flexing as it brought down its full power. Or maybe not it’s full power…
“It looks like the challenger is going in for a Dragon Dance!” The tv announcer said with excitement, though Gary was so focused on the powerful dragon pokemon he didn’t even notice he’d started eating faster and faster with each move.
The graceful, forceful movements of the dragon, each flex of powerful smooth arms and legs, plus the slight way his belly bounced and flexed with each motion was entrancing.
For a brief moment, he wondered what that would feel like. Power building inside you, wind rushing across your scales as you felt your body multiply in strength. Did it make you tense, or relax?
‘Mmmph!” He let out a muffled gasp as he bit down on his fork. Looking down he saw that he’d stuffed his meal down at record pace. “Oh uh… Guess I was hungrier than I thought…” He said getting a hold of himself.
His two pokemon both shared a chuckle at his expense. Still Gary didn’t pay them much mind, simply getting up to put some extra on his plate. He’d only served up half the leftovers and planned on having the rest tomorrow, but his gut still couldn’t be ignored. He was back in a flash, zoning out once more as his eyes couldn’t be taken off of that dragonite. He was just so…cute.
A haze seemed to rest over the world. It was a sunny day… but… where was the sun? He was out, waddling through on the sidewalk. Each step was ponderous and heavy. Each swing of his flabby legs was a wide arc that caused his thighs to rub together fiercely. Apart from the shaking of his flabby body.
He was panting, each breath making his cheeks wobble and shake. Why did he choose to keep walking? Why didn’t he get a mobility scooter? At least the sun felt good, baking his flab filled body. It was warming his gut wonderfully. Still, with all the sweat dripping down, he didn’t want to completely fry. Best to head toward the water.
The city he was shuffling past was a blur, all that mattered was the warm hitting his naked body. He was starting to sweat. He couldn’t tell if it was from his heaving, tiring walking, or from the heat.
After what felt like an eternity, he was finally on the beach. The surf was on his feet, and he sat down in the water. The heat of the sun and the coolness of the water lapping at his fat wobbling lard making for a wonderful contrast. Then he looked at the water edge, he saw in the distance what looked like a pair of eyes peeking over the horizon, and a massive red frill.
Was that Snap?
“Chaaar.” A booming voice came from the sky. It was Coal. The sun was his tail flame. Up above, he could see the outline of his massive reptilian body. His charmeleon body flab, mountains of it. His lard filled body seemed to take up the sky. It was difficult to even figure out the details of his bloated and sagging face, but it was him.
Suddenly that figure started to shift. It looked like Coal was raising his foot. Rolls of lard rolled and smooshed into each other as the titanic fatty raised his leg up. Then as the sole of his paw seemed to take up a portion of the sky, it looked like it was coming right for him.
Right as everything went dark, Gary woke up. It took a moment for his senses to return to normal, or even figure out where he was. Gary's room was always lit up at night. Coal’s tail flame made sure of that, but at least it dimmed when he was asleep. ‘Ugh, what a weird dream…’ he thought to himself. Both of his pokemon were curled up next to him in bed, sound asleep, maybe having weird dreams of their own. It had been a common theme for the past few days.
Each time he went to bed, it was something to do with overweight pokemon. The night before he’d dreamt of a raichu draining all the power from the city and massive. The night before that, it had been a vaporeon drinking all the water in the local park’s lake. “Eugh, what’s with me?” Though this was the first time his own friends had been in his dream. Even in his dozy state, he recognized the comforting warmth of their bodies on him through the covers.
Slowly, he leaned up in bed, careful not to wake them. It had only been a few days since their encounter in the mall, but he couldn’t help but notice his own pokemon had started to get a bit fluffier. It wasn’t super noticeable on Snap, who was already pretty round, but charmeleon’s tone arms and chest had flattened, and his sharp cheekbones had inflated into firm round cheeks. Heck he could swear in the right light he could see a second chin.
Of course, he wasn’t much better. His pants had all been getting a bit tighter, and his shirt too. He gained a pair of puffy moobs over a nice tummy. He could feel the fat shifting around as he got out of bed and stood up. The sensation still felt alien, and he knew he should have felt bad, but the feeling of his tight shirt against his stomach made him feel a little nice.
He went through his morning routine, thinking about their plans for Saturday. They had made a training plan with Mitch, whom he had become fast friends with. His Hakko-o, Dozer, had equally become close with his pokemon. A friend’s discount at a clothing store sounded good as well. They were meeting today to try a new power lifting regimen that had so far gotten Mitch two victories over Gary’s partners. Once he’d offer to show them how it went, he eagerly agreed.
Well Coal and Snap had eagerly agreed, but Gary went along with it. They were meeting today though that gave him most of the morning to spend time with his pokemon and take care of a few things.
He started with a quick shower, taking a minute to gaze over his new, flabbier body. “Wow… I really let myself go… Well, we’re going to be exercising later today anyway.” He chuckled, squeezing his new chest, before washing off.
A few minutes later he was dressed and turning on his computer, greeted by his new desktop: A Dragonite and Goodra battling team. He’d become a fan of watching their powerful strikes and beam attacks. Every time they threw an opponent or blew up their bellies for a hyper beam, he got positively giddy. It had taken him a while to find a publicity photo of just the pokemon. The trainer was some woman from… Kalos? She wasn’t the star of the battle though.
“Char Char!” That was the sound of Charmeleon jumping up to grab his phone off the desk.
“Oh, morning Coal!” He said, not even reacting to his pokemon unlocking his phone next to him. He glanced over to see the pokemon was ordering breakfast. His first instinct was not wanting to pay the delivery fee. “Oh uh…” he stammered out before he thought about how much they’d been eating this week and how badly they needed to restock the kitchen. “Good call, what ya getting?”
“Char me!” The pokemon leaned the face of the phone back to them, revealing a donut and pastry shop.
“Oh yeah, they have those breakfast sandwiches made out of donuts! Get me one of those!” He stopped himself, “Actually, are you sure? I mean we’ve been eating so much. Why don’t I just make some eggs and give my waistline a break?
Snap walked over to the spot between his legs. “Croco naw!” He said while pointing at the phone with a toothy smile. “Naw croco!” He followed up that last message by rubbing his belly.
“Okay. But,” He hesitated, “Maybe only get me one of those donut sandwiches okay?”
“Char!” Coal gave him a toothy grin and a clawed thumbs up before he walked off with the phone.
“Well that settles food for the morning.” Gary thought as he leaned back in his chair. “I guess I can start some laundry in the meantime,” He got up from his chair, sighing as he got to his feet.
A half hour later, Gary was busy gaming when he heard a knock on the door. “One second!” He shouted, chopping through enemies hoping he could get to a safe point. “Why doesn’t this game have a pause button? So stupid…” He muttered, going as quick as he could.
As soon as he was clear, he jumped out of his chair, running to the front door. “Oh uh…” The sight of Coal grabbing sacks of food from the delivery person caught his eyes. “Sorry I was in the middle of something.”
“Oh that’s fine!” The delivery girl said, letting go of her last sack. “Your Charmeleon is super well trained. Wish my Rowlett could open the door for me. Though I’m surprised you let them use your credit card!”
Gary blinked, “Wait, what?” He said, now half stupefied.
Before he could compose himself though, she continued. “You have fun, there must be quite the group of people! Have a good day!” She spun around quickly walking back to her car to head away.
“Uh thanks for getting that Coal… How much did you order?!” They had gotten five boxes of pastries, and a few bags, one of which was handed to him by Snap.
“Croca!” He said, pushing the warm food up to him.
The young man stood there wondering what in the world his pokemon were planning on doing with all the food, but just helped them take their breakfast into the living room. A quick glance revealed a feast of food was a huge variety of donuts of all kinds. Glazed, filled, sprinkle covered, chocolate, strawberry. His pokemon must have ordered every kind they had! Not to mention, there were a few extra bags filled up with breakfast sandwiches and savory pastries.
“Guys… you know Mitch and Dozer aren’t going to be here for a few hours…” Them wanting to get food for their guests was the only reason he could guess for Coal to order this feast..
Coal responded to him by shaking his head and pointing to their bellies. The charmeleon sat down on the floor in front of the couch and started to chow down on donuts right there.
“I uhh...” Gary wanted to protest, but just couldn’t. Coal seemed to have thought this through, so why bother? He sat down and just enjoyed his sandwich. The sweet donut around the hot bacon and cheese practically made his mouth water.
He got lost in the television while eating, and barely even noticed himself reaching for a convenient donut after he had finished with his first portion. Though after a second, once he felt a comfortable sensation of fullness, he stopped, putting his hands on his belly. “Ohh.. that was nice.”
Down on the floor below him, Snap and Coal had easily gone through a dozen donuts together, leaving flecks of sugar and sprinkles in their messy wake. Coal looked up, seeing his trainer had stopped, and started to survey how much food they had left. Spotting a box they hadn’t torn into yet, he pushed it up to the couch, and made a hefty jump up to join his trainer.
“Oh, hey Coal.” Gary paused, ”You’ve done a number on all this food!” The charmeleon now looked downright fat. The lean muscle of a draconic evolution line was gone, replaced with well defined, packed on flab. His bright tan belly now visibly hung down to his knees and wobbled as he got his footing on the couch cushions. A thin love handle now appeared halfway up and held up a beefy taught chest. That double chin was now prominently there on a fat rounded face. “Wow... you really put on weight fast. Maybe we should…”
The trainer was cut off as the charmeleon shoved a full chocolate donut in his mouth. “Umph!” Was all he got out around the donut. Gary ended up taking a full bite of it, quickly chewing and snarfing down a full half of the donut. As the sugar settled into his stomach with a heavy thud, he tried to get a word in. “Hey What…” Again he was stifled by the remains slamming into his mouth.
The charmeleon simply stood over him, a raw, confident smile on him as his flabby bodied jiggled against the force of his trainer struggling. Gary could have gotten up, pushed the fat pokemon off of him, but something about the intense look in his eyes made him passive. His already full belly started to strain under the force of more food, and he put both hands on it, feeling it turning warm and taught.
“Hey Coal, what was that all about?” His Charmeleon simply maintained his smile, while going to get another donut. Gary could only eye his pokemon nervously as he brought it closer to him. “You want me to… eat more?”
“Char meleon!” He said, tail wagging behind him. He used his free hand to rub Gary's stomach, which did relieve the pressure a bit.
Gary couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t resisting. He just looked in Charmeleon’s eyes and felt… that it must be the right thing to do. A voice in his head was telling him this would be a disaster for his waist line, but a much stronger voice was telling him to listen to his pokemon. After all, his friend had never led him astray right? “Um, okay? How many do you want me to eat?” Coal just pointed at the box. “All of them?”
Coal simply nodded and pressed the pastry to his lips. He started with a quick bite. This time it was a gentler process. He realized he didn’t need to be fed by his pokemon, and grabbed the sweet donut for himself, now stuffing himself even if hesitantly.
It turned into a steady flow of sugar coming into his mouth, and more tightness and pressure in his belly. That was eased by a pair of clawed paws rubbing it. Charmeleon’s warm hands felt wonderful as he kept eating, and the fullness seemed to go away, though his stomach seemed to keep inflating.
A weight hit the sofa next to him. It was Snap crawling up onto the sofa to snuggle up next to him. Gary just smiled at him, absentmindedly grabbing a sprinkled donut that Coal was handing him. Time seemed to fly for a minute, a gentle glutting going by like a flash while the two pokemon loved and rubbed their trainer. After a third helping of sweets, Gary started to smile again. The attention from his pokemon was almost as warming as the feeling of heat all over his body. Someone from the outside would have seen his body inflating slowly.
His pudgy belly turned into a flabby ball. His chest rose up into a pair of flat moobs. Gary didn’t notice any of this though, as his mind was completely overtaken by the blissful sensation of stuffing himself. He could feel his chin growing though. Now each time he opened his mouth, he could feel his face squishing against his chest. He lost count of how much he’d eaten before he felt wildly full, and collapsed into the cushion behind him. “Ohh.. that’s enough…” his Pokemon rubbing his distended squishy belly was probably the only thing keeping it from hurting.
Snap and Coal briefly locked eyes “Croca?”
“Meleon.” They were quick in agreement, and the fire type reached back for a plain glazed. It’s cracked sugary surface shining in the morning light shining through the window. Then he held up a single claw.
“Just one more?” Gary replied weakly. A comforting smile and nod were his response.
“Umm. Okay.” The Pokemon gently eased the treat into his mouth, and the human was too tired to resist. He could feel Croconaw next to him start rubbing his head to encourage him. Slowly but surely, he got through it, before sighing and leaning back. If he hadn't woken up an hour ago he’d be exhausted. As the charmeleon rubbed his belly with both paws and made gentle eye contact with him, he felt proud. He wasn’t sure why, but there was something so serene about letting go. Besides, looking over his two best friends laying all the attention on him, everything around him felt so right. Their fat bodies were all pushing together, sharing their warmth and weight. Whatever discomfort he felt melted away into the affection and love he felt with him pokemon.
“Ugh. That was intense.” He said, his senses were once again able to focus on the rest of the room. He hadn’t had plans for the rest of the morning, but after existing in a dream-like state for what felt like minutes, he started to think about normal life again. “Oh,” He said meekly, still recovering from his binge. “Well uh, “ His brain was spinning from what to say next. The events of the morning were still coming together. He couldn’t process anything very well. Luckily he didn’t need to. While Coal was curling up against his side, Snap had picked up the remote.
Gary didn’t even bother to provide input as his scaly friend put on something for them to watch, continuing the morning theme of binging. As they snuggled in together, surrounded by the debris from their meal, they all three lost track of time.
The hours passed with the three of them lost in a haze. That serenity was broken when Gary looked up to see a tubby human and his fat dragon looking down on them. Their hands were full of take out. “Well well, it looks like you’re adapting faster than I thought.” It was from a local sports bar named ‘Swallot and More’s’ that had quite the range. “Thanks for leaving the door open Coal.”
“Char!” He waved his claw as though to say, ‘Don’t mention it.’
“Oh Mitch!” Gary shot up from the couch, feeling his new stomach sway and jiggle. His clothes had rode up his shirt, unable to contain his new fat body. “Oh sorry, I started vegging out with my pokemon and uh, I lost track of time.”
“And your appetite it seems.” Mitch reached forward to grab a roll of Gary’s new pale gut. “It looks good on you! And you two as well.”
“Hakka!” The fat dragon said behind him. His wagging tail sent waves through his flabby body.
“Croconaw! Croc!” Snap put his hand behind his head, clearly a little embarrassed.
Gary meanwhile, was a bit confused. He was just now realizing how fat he had gotten. He’d easily put on fifty pounds since the last time they’d seen each other in person. Why wasn’t he reacting? “Um I” He stammered out, nervously trying to pull his shirt down over his belly. His frantic state of mind prevented him from feeling how badly his pants were cutting into his waist and new sculpted rear end.
“Oh relax. This is just the new you.”
“Charmeleon!” This lizard said in response, standing up tall and pushing out his gut.
“Or part of it anyway. The app should almost be done with the first stages.” Mitch’s tone and smile betrayed his eagerness to see what was going to happen next. “Don’t worry, we like to have a club member here for your first time transforming to make sure everything goes well, Though I’ll leave you three alone to enjoy your new bodies and minds as soon as you're done.”
“Done? I…” He heard his phone beep next to him and a light started to shine from the core of his body. It was something any trainer would recognize. The light of evolution. “What's going on… oh…” Heat started to radiate from inside him. It was an echo of the heat he’d felt earlier that morning while completely stuffed from binge eating. That warmth helped numb the thousands of smaller sensations cropping up all over his body.
Gary tried to keep his thoughts together and not get lost in the hurricane of sensation. He focused on each one and body part as much as he could. First was dizziness. He wasn’t rocking back and forth or losing his balance. He was just dizzy. There was pressure up and down his back that ended in a pit in his stomach. After a quick look from side to side, he could have sworn the world around him was getting larger.
That same pressure was in his fingers and hands. Something from the outside was pushing them in. After a moment it went from pressure to a feeling that he was gripping his hands into a ball with power he couldn’t control. His fingers were merging. That same process was mirrored in his feet.
He tried to move his legs, shift his weight, anything to adjust to the changes. Nothing would move from his own will. Between his feet changing shape, the feeling of shrinking, and the dizziness he felt like he was going to fall over, but it never came. Some invisible force kept his flabby, doughy frame standing up straight.
Something hard and tight stretched the skin on his hands out. There were no nerves on the inside, so it felt like something was pinching and pulling on the back of his reshaped two fingered hands. His backside felt the same. He worked to look down, seeing three bright green leaves push out. The two points of pain and stretching from his backside suggested two there.
A dull fire roared over his body. Every bit of his skin changed to green, except his flabby gut. That was quickly switching to a light red. The heat on top of his head subsided, replaced with a light cool-ness. His hair was simply gone. Replaced with the same scales that covered his body. Though there was a slight weight making his head tilt back. Was it a ponytail? No, it was too light and stiff.
With a sharp jolt, his attention focused on his face. His eyes tingled like they were dry. There was pressure in his nose and jaw. He could see them both stretching out, pushing into a sharp pointed muzzle. He almost ignored the sight though. Only one thought ruled his mind. What was he?
In a moment every sensation that had been rocking his body and mind ended. Instead there were new ones. Something warm and smooth was gripping both of his arms, holding him up. His pokemon… They had grabbed him from the side. Both of their flabby guts were pushing into his sides, causing his own belly to shift up and make his red moobs form up. His scaly, fat limbs squishing into their strong paws made his heart flutter.
He jerked his head down, now feeling bulbous cheeks flop down onto his chin. His belly covered his knees, and he felt the ball of lard pushing his legs out into a waddle stance. Even the slight shifting of his body from side to side made it wiggle and squish against his knees. After a moment Gary realized he couldn’t even see his own feet!
“Well well handsome. How’s it feel to be the shortest one here?” The voice came from his right. It was Coal’s. It had the same deep, gruff tone to it that somehow managed to sound impish. Gary could only turn his head, feeling his second, chin and moobs all smoosh together.
He was looking up at his Charmeleon. Up. The powerful blue eyes were easily several inches above his, slightly hidden by the salamander’s own flabby face. “You’re huge!” Gary said, noticing his voice was slightly higher, slightly more nasally than before.
“Oh, speak for yourself, wide load.” Coal responded with a chuckle. Gary felt that slight laugh shake and rumble through both their lard ball bellies.
“Yeah, you’re the widest one here.” The newly transformed pokemon now looked to his left in response to the higher pitched voice of Snap. “We better not leave you out in the sun for too long, or you won’t be able to waddle.” The croconaw punctuated his jab by reaching over and grabbing a fistful of Gary’s red belly. Gary could only blush in response to all the attention being paid to his scally, flabby body.
“The sun?” He was confused, then looking over the leaves sticking out of his arms, his green and read scale patterns. “I’m a grovyle!”
“Guys…” Gary said, half holding back a moan as he was handled by his two friends. “What happened? Why are we so fat? Why am I a pokemon?” He had started to panic, but as he asked his second question, the kneading of his flabby gut started to relax him.
“I can answer that.” Gary looked up, only to see a Dewott that hadn’t been there before. The shock of transformation didn’t stop him from being able to recognize Mitch had transformed. He was sporting a gut so large it covered up his species trademark leg seashells. Like every other pokemon in the room, he was obese. “That app I gave you did a bit more. It was made by our club founder to help trainers get a bit closer to their pokemon.”
“In other words.” Coal said, leaning in to kiss the grovyle’s cheek. “We’re all going to be a bunch of big fatties together.” The charmelon let go of his friend’s side, only to swat Gary’s massive rear end.
“Hey!” Gary exclaimed.
“Don’t worry little guy. I know you love it.” Coal said slyly. “We did too after we started packing on the weight.”
“Welcome to the Fat Pokemon Admirers Club by the way.” The flabby Dewott said while leaning back against the Hakko-o belly. “I’ll get you introduced to the club later, but for now you should get used to being a pokemon. I’m sure your two friends will help you get used to your new body.”
“Oh that’s right.” Snap licked his cheek. “I think a big flabby grass type might be my weakness.”
The constant attention to his scaly rolls was making Gary short of breath. He couldn’t remember ever feeling like this before. His mind almost short circuited as Coal stepped around to the front side of his body. Gary focused onto the charmeleon confident blue eyes. It only lasted a moment, before the fire pokemon grabbed him, and locked their muzzles together in a powerful kiss.
“Now don’t give him too long,” Snap said, walking behind the grovyle, “I might get jealous.” Gary could feel the crocona’s scaly belly rub over his back leaves, and then push against his back. Clawed hands wrapped around him, and started to rub his flabby gut. “And I want to have fun with our trainer too.”
The Hakamo-o chuckled, and leaned against his trainer turned pokemon. “Man, they’re even sappier than we were joined the club and you were drooling over that Dartrix.”
Gary was still racing, but his body seemed to automatically return the kiss. As the charmeleon rubbed and caressed his fat body, he just reached out and tried to hold onto the fire type. As Coal leaned in, Gary gave way, letting the larger pokemon dominate their kiss. The grovyle’s mind was filled with fantasies of his two pokemon, standing over him, shoving food into his maw. It’s like a whole new sexuality was taking control of his mind. He wanted nothing more than to get lost in the feeling of the flabby body rubbing up against each other.
After what felt like forever, Coal broke their kiss, leaning only far enough back to get some comfortable speaking room. “Like the new body?”
“Uh… uhuh.” Gary said meekly, barely able to move his jaw.
“Oh come on partner.” Coal said, hungry licking the side of his muzzle. “You can do better than that. Say it loud like a proud fatty.”
“I… I love being a pokemon.” Gary said his voice and volume were growing.
“What kind of pokemon?” The charmeleon said.
“A big fat pokemon!” He said, now finally getting some oomph coming from his voice.
“Now there we go.” The charmeleon leaned in and started their kiss back up.
“Here,” It was Dozer, the Hakka-o that was standing next to him. His armor made light clicking sounds as he waddled over. “I should show you how to use the app. It’ll let you switch between his bodies whenever you want.” The dragon held up Gary’s phone to Coal. The transformed fatty never got a look at what was on the phone.
“Well that’s good! I don’t want him to spend any unnecessary time as a human.” Coal tossed the phone to the side, focusing his attention back on the former human.
“Hey um,” Gary said, “Aren’t you going to show me how to change back?” Asking the question felt silly, and he was having a hard time imagining why he’d want to switch back. The feelings his blubbery body were sending him had taken over any rational part of his brain.
“Oh no.” Coal responded matter of factly. “If you want to change back, just ask and I’ll decide if you need to. But outside of work, I can’t think of a reason why I’d want you as anything other than my flabby, scaly grass type.”
Gary should have felt a sense of powerlessness, but, instead it felt reassuring. His new body was perfect, and Coal would make sure he stayed in it.
“Okay, looks like you’re really getting a hang of your drain attacks.” Coal said, patting the Grovyle on the head. Gary just closed his eyes and leaned into the attention. The training room at the Fat Pokemon Admirer club had become a fixture of his life. Coal kept him and Snap training there frequently, and his flabby body had gained that same power and tightness he had fallen in love with so many weeks ago. Not that he was wanting for powerful chubby fatties. He had two of the best in the world with him.
“Yeah, that Sylveon was wobbling trying to get out of range!” Snap said giving his stomach a quick swat. As encouraging as the Croconaw was, Coal definitely had spear headed the role of trainer, making sure both his lovers kept in top shape and battle ready. They definitely fell into the stronger side of the club membership though.
“Come on, into the showers then!” The three of them happily waddled in. It was actually one of the grovyle’s favorite parts of the day. One, the water hitting his scales just put new life into him that he had never appreciated as a human. Two, endless playful grabbing and groping. Today, it took the form of Coal grabbing him from behind, and giving his love handles a deep scrub.
“I want to make sure every inch of my favorite grass type is squeaky clean.” His blushing was cut short by a quick soaking that Snap hit them both with.
“Does that help?” They both turned and smirked at the gator.
Cleaning and drying off was quick and easy for the pokemon. Gary swore that immediately afterward he felt heavier, like his plant biology had put on some water weight. Even if it was all in his head, he thoroughly enjoyed the pendulous feeling of his belly rolling over his knees.
They were wadding through the club, easily more mobile than all the fatty pokemon they were surrounded by. Everyone at the club was heavily obese, and it was hard to tell which ones used to be human. Gary hadn’t even bothered to guess. They were simply his brothers and sisters in obesity. “Hey Coal!” It was Amper, an Alolan riachu who’s fat body oozed over the side of her surfboard tail. “Hey Snap, Gary,” She quickly included the other two.
“Hey Amp,” All three responded in kind, though Coal continued on. “You’re looking heavy as ever. I’m surprised your powers are enough to keep you floating.”
“Not all of us use weights to get stronger.” She responded, shaking her body up and down for emphasis. “I was wondering, could I get a re-match with Gary? I think I have a new plan I want to try out.”
That made him perk up. Their last battle had been a ton of fun. A double battle with him and Snap against her and Bright, her Sylveon friend. They had managed to pull out a win. Coal turned and looked at both of them “Well what do you guys think? Want a rematch?”
“Oh yeah! Another go would be great!” Gary responded, his cheeks dimpling against his smile.
“Yeah anytime!” Snap joined in.
“Great, let’s do it tomorrow.” The charmeleon responded.
“Not today?” The riachu giggled.
“Oh now, we just got done training in the gym and now I want us to spend the whole afternoon vegging out and glutting at the club buffet.”
Snap reached down and rubbed his belly. “Yeah, I feel like I could eat a whole cake.”
“Though I’ll look forward to tomorrow.” Gary responded. Battling was fun, but nothing sounded more appealing to him than spending the day lazing about and stuffing himself with his fellow fatties. “But eating comes first.” Coal looked back and rubbed the front of the Grovyle’s belly.
“Come on lets get started.”

Man I remember that story for ten years ago very well. And grovyle is my favorite pokemon so this story is gonna be great~
Not officially but I am considering doing them. Note me or add me on discord if you want to chat about it
Now this was a VERY fun read!
Kinda wanna read more, but I’m not gonna push it. I know all too well how fickle the muses can be.

I’d be down to toss ideas around, if I may. Like, what would happen if the admirer’s club wound up with a Legendary member?
That is fun to imagine. In the first version I made years ago, the club was founded by mew
Well that could be interesting sure. I always though Latias or Latios were good for romance stories, and they look cute fat
Ohhh that's such a fub plot idea! You really nailed it :3 loved it, especially when Trainers are involved, makes the world always feel a little more realistic.
Oh this is really good, something about the dynamic switch here where the trainer slowly becomes the pet even before transforming hits very hard. I actually remember the original two stories as well, so this was a fun reminder of those too!
Well I'm happy you enjoyed it! Writing the dynamic switch was the best part for me!
Wow! Really loved the role shifting in this! Having your own pokemon make you fatter and control whether you're human or not is such an underrated power dynamic! I loved this story!
I wouldn't mind joining this club either! I'm sure my Cyndaquil form would easily be the biggest Cyndaquil there!

And you'd be such a cute one too! And the trainer power dynamic is one I always loved! So it was great to mess with it here. I'm so happy you liked it!
Oh how I so missed this. Course now I’m thinking about something similar but more Digimon themed.
Well if you’re ever open for it, I wouldn’t mind throwing some ideas around
It's so good to see the club is thriving as ever! Nice to see they expanded (heh) from wristwatches to include phone apps now.
Yeah, it’s been so long since i wrote the original, I forgot it came out before the launch of the iPhone
Oh wow!! I totally remember the original stories from forever ago! It's so nice to see such a good continuation! This was a really good read!
