Is that face-mask...mask-face...does he feel there like normal skin could sense touch etc? Or are there any numb parts? Also, can that visor display emojis or text? Or is that truly just a one-way visor to see?
He can feel where the skin is. The other ports are somewhat numb, but if they're touched, he can feel them moving and shifting slightly (think about the sensation of tapping your teeth with a nail or poking your fingernail or feeling your hair).
The visor is one way--inside out. However, mute drones (or drones who choose/pretend to be mute) have been known to get what you describe to handle most basic communication.
