My attempt at this week's Thursday Prompt. This week, the word for the prompt was "thirty".
Per normal, please be sure to check ThursdayPrompt for more.
I had a difficult time settling on something this week, had several ideas but none that I really liked. That said, I did get this idea to expand upon this particular character while hanging out in 's stream this weekend and I actually did like the idea for this one. This one is meant to be the background to an important character in one of my larger projects, but I am leaning toward making this something else entirely since I had never meant to delve this deeply into his backstory.

My word that was intense. Your way with emotion is wonderful! Very much reminded me of old monster stories, I loved it.
Guess it's a bit too late to say "This isn't how it was supposed to go", huh? I'm grateful you seemed to enjoy this one, I was trying for some kind of monster-movie theme.
I very much appreciate you'd take the time to read this one, thanks much for that.

That was very creepy. I remember you saying you had got your idea while I was explaining the nature of spirits within my setting so I was curious what actually ended up inspiring this.
That said, I definitely got vibes of FMA from this (not just the alchemist connection) in the best possible way. Also, it reminded me of some of the creepy stuff from Pillars of Eternity.

Your explanation about how spirits operate in your setting reminded me of this character and his peculiar circumstances; he actually makes an appearance in the next chapter of my larger project and is properly introduced in the one immediately following... err, he will, whenever I finally finish up act two.
I truthfully hadn't noticed the FMA vibes, but I certainly see them now that you've brought them up. Now that I think a bit on it more, the alchemist's background is pretty much one-for-one the same as the Elric brothers' backstory from FMA. While that might spoil his "sins", his reaction and motivation moving forward is a bit different from FMA.
I'm grateful you would read through this, very much appreciated.

Ah, well glad I could be some inspiration.
Also, if you haven't played Pillars of Eternity, I'd recommend it. Don't worry. It isn't as long as Persona 5. My playthrough only took me 65h or something. XD
It really does have some fantastic writing though.

I've heard of Pillars of Eternity, it certainly does sound like something I'd enjoy. I'll need to check it out sometime, thank you for the recommendation.
Persona 5: great game, waaaaaaaay too long.

I thought it was really good. It reminded me of survival horror games in particular; like the player character is exploring the estate after the fact and picking up parts of the alchemist's journal in order to piece together the backstory. As the monster(s) stalk them of course.
And I now have a weekend project to work on, thank you for the flash of inspiration!
I appreciate you'd say you thought this one went well and that you'd read through it, thank you much for that.

Happy I was able to activate your creative spark. The journal just screamed "collectible video game document" to me.
I found this one to be rather intense... yes a horror story... well done...

I was trying to make things a bit grim in this one, I very much appreciate you'd say you thought it well done.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this one, always grateful for that.
