My D&D group started a new campaign this week, which meant it was time for another round of character portraits/tokens. Unfortunately, I only had a week to get five of them done, and the week was absolutely packed with RL obligations. Needless to say, I didn't make it in time :( I didn't actually make myself a token, got the flat colours done for three of the others, and stayed up til ten in the morning the day of our session to finish the fourth, since it wouldn't look like the character description at all without all the bits I add during the painting process.
That's this one.
Contest Jinks is a tabaxi drunken master monk based on a black footed cat; the description I was given was: "23” Tall, about 25lbs. Tawny fur, that is entirely covered with black spots, though the spots on my head and back are somewhat elongated in to stripes). My fur is incredibly dense and fluffy, but unnaturally soft. My tail is very, very long (almost twice as long as I am), but very bushy. My eyes are a deep orange, almost rust colored, with all black pupils." I was also told that Jinks had larger than usual ears and was polydactyl, with seven beans per foot and an extra thumb next to his pinky. Which looks very strange to me, and brings me back to my days of always attaching everyone's hands on backwards since you can't see his normal thumbs, but you know :P
His spider is named Duck, and is a relic of the brief period where his player was going to make him an arcane trickster rogue. I was given a reference image of one of those plushies/stuffed animals with the GIGANTIC eyes, but I kind of forgot about that part when making the sketch and Intol didn't call me on it, haha.
The spots/stripes on his forehead kind of look like a spider too, don't they? I only just noticed that, lol
