Indeed, she gets pooltoy'd before the job that requires her to be a pooltoy. She changed herself into a pooltoy as a cost saving measure because she was turbo broke in the manatear and TF is cheap. It made her a shoe-in for her next job that will be at the airbar.
Think of it as a symbolic chapter change for her. She changes her name because she associates it with her family. It just takes a while before she commits to it, effectively Daisy lines her up with the airbar's nickname stuff and it sticks to her strong enough that she outright just adopts it.
