A young, destructive pirate and top officer of Admiral's army, the demolitionist lass, Rose!
She lived a good portion of her life in a small village that made a nice living on an island. There wasn't much to do except grow crops, build ships, prepare trades, and make some profit. It all seemed...quite dull for the otter. She looked at the sea and yearned to explore beyond these sandy shores. She was a bit of a troublemaker as she did have a knack for causing a bit of damage, knowing just what to hit to really cause mayhem. That time would come when a couple people she knew decided they would take up a different path than the carpenters, dealers, and guards. They would all become pirates! The group worked together to build their ship and stock it with supplies and cannons. The otter could smell the sea breeze and embrace the journey. The crew did have to lie about their plans as the town did not take kindly to the idea of someone turning into... criminals.
Once the deed was done, everyone had a party on their newly built ship and discussed their goals. The captain of the crew claimed they'd become a legendary pirate and make sure their name would be known throughout the world. Others threw out simple things like wanting to find treasure, taking down most vessels, and spreading fear throughout the sea. Rose wanted to explore the world and see what it is really like out there... while leaving her mark. Everyone had a good meal and rest for the night. The day came and all the crew members prepped themselves up before unleashing the sails... just as the village realized what they were up to. The otter and the rest said their goodbyes as the villagers threw insults and warnings. They all had their sights on the ocean and the adventures they would have! Everyone got their roles with Rose being the quartermaster. Everything would go great and swell, this would be a start to their grand lives. It was a shame that it would be mere dreams.
The crew hardly did much other than travel to whatever seemed interesting. If they spotted a vacant island, they would stop there to rest a little and dig for treasure, only to find nothing but upset creatures. If they saw a merchant ship, they would attack it for its loot, gaining some gold and whatever junk they were hauling. As much as Rose got to view a bit more of the world, everything just felt aimless. She tried to advise the captain to not waste time and resources on such small, pointless things but he would respond with insults and criticize her for questioning his plans. Her time being a pirate grew ever so miserable as a couple of others would. While it was nice to think anything remotely close to what the sea bandits did in the tales, it barely made up for putting so much effort into getting out in the first place. Thoughts of mutiny did rise but would quiet down when their leader reminded them who was in charge and who could actually sail the ship. Plus, they all likely had some bounty on their end that gives any towns to want them arrested. Regret filled her soul while her eyes stared at the cold sea. Her smarts, her strategies, and her goals were forever undervalued.
One day, the captain noticed a small ship in the distance and smirked. Rose knew what he was going to do and argued. She didn't want him burning their ammo and time to tackle some merchants that might hardly have much else besides a bit of food and furniture as they were running short on supplies as it is. Anger rose in him as he scolded the otter and proclaimed she should know her place. "Go wipe my poop deck!" He shouted. As the two screamed at each other, something would show up. Her leader ordered the cannons to be fired. The fuses were lit and the cannons blasted... only to immediately hear the balls bounce off. What stood before them was a massive metallic vessel with large engines, zero sails, and a titanic hull. They eyed the ginormous cruiser as its side opened up.
"Who the hell attacked us?" A female, Scottish voice called out. They looked to see a couple of soldiers in purple uniforms look over at them before a green, white fennec. She wore a mauve gold button dressed in a dark lavender skirt, leggings with the toes and heel exposed, and a soldier cap. The short vixen spotted their ship and glared before jumping out. The otter was startled before becoming fearful as that same person would blow up into a huge ball of a fox and come spinning down rapidly towards their ship. That creature was almost as big as their vessel as she smashed right through it, demolishing it and sending the crew into the waters. Rose dove into the sea and swam back up to look for any of her crewmates needing assistance. She got to see them be rescued by soldiers riding on top of... blimped fighters wearing engines and armor? She was lost for words but her attention would be captured by the fennec, still large but floating on top of the ocean. The fox's legs were slightly plump with her arms resting on her swollen sides. Who were these people?
Everyone would be taken into the huge ship, where they would be safe and interrogated. A tall rabbit with dark grey and brown fur wearing a feminine navy admiral outfit would approach and question them. Rose explained what happened and advised her crew to surrender seeing how unfavorable their situation is. The captain would object and threaten to beat the hare because he couldn't be stopped in his goal of being the best pirate. That would be when every soldier would ready their guns and point them at them. The otter's leader grew fearful and gave up, and instead offered to join the army instead. The amount of respect she would lose for this man was incalculable. The rabbit rubbed her chin and examined the pirates before smiling. She would take them in... after they took the exam.
It was the test people in the army would take if they wished to be prompted to a blimp class. They fill themselves up using an air pump to reach a certain point to get into one of two classes. It was less about getting so big, and more about making sure they could get to a particular size without straining and struggling. Most of the crew either got into the first category, getting roughly house-sized, while others couldn't and remained grunts, like the captain. Rose... got into the upper ranks. The rabbit was impressed with her hide and introduced herself as Admiral. It was the first time the otter received some kind of praise! The hare would take the time to chat with this new member and understand her before letting her get into Class B and be a top officer in her army. Rose loved her size and her position, now she was the one in charge. Her first order of business was to get some nice payback on her captain, tossing a few sharp remarks at him before making a good example of him by using him as a cushion for a while. She loved hearing him plead and apologize for everything he said about her, which did help let him be free sooner.
Rose would be given a serum that allows her to blow up with gas to become big and get into a more menacing size while being able to compress it down and shrink back to normal along with the extra power and strength given to her. When hearing of her knack for destruction, Admiral would give her a special weapon... the bag cannon. It is a cannon made of a rather flexible metal. It has the power to build up gas in it to expand and unleash a blast to destroy buildings and blow away those who try to stop her. To make her more problematic, she carries all sorts of explosives with her from satchel charges to plant and detonate for slightly controlled explosions or unique cannon balls to load her weapon up with, each with varying properties of spread explosive fragments to cause area-clearing smogs. She would prove herself to be a very dangerous individual to any resistance. To add insult to injury, she is more than happy to steal their loot, especially if they happen to have some good rum!
