It's been a while since I've heard this: "Which one of you is the man?"

Lately, possibly because of the explosion of anime and people dipping their toes into the Japanese language, I've run across "Are you tori or uke?" That part kind of sets me off, having been a Judoka (went to the World Masters in 2000). It's funny because the people most likely to ask this are also the most likely to start crying "TMI, stop forcing your sick lifestyle on us" right after asking for that very information.

I don't want to speak for everyone out there, but I did find that there is something of a clash of personalities, and struggle of dynamics, that will either settle itself or it won't. Brinksmanship caused this rooster to chicken out, so to speak, in this particular encounter.
